  1. Doesn't hurt to give them a clean up with some electrical contact cleaner etc and see if it improves, if it improves it might be worth picking up a new dizzy cap. But be sure before throwing money away then it being something else EDIT: 3rd pic down of where the leads plug in, mine were like that and I had a crack from where the previous owner decided that tightening everything up to a billion lbs was a good idea! new one arrived and they were all shiney. She's ran fine since!
  2. Yeah mate I got some of the rust removing juice and a pipe cleaner and it cleaned up alright! Can't hurt to have a look
  3. Don't mate, unless your having MAJOR financial problems you will regret it in the long run. You got a daily snotter? Run that for a while then take the V for a spin on the occasional weekend. Smiles per mile will make up for it!
  4. Mine did this when one of the connections on the Dizzy was corroded...
  5. So is it boosting really high? I.E just keeps on going instead of releasing?
  6. It is, it's a bargain really, but no one is willing to spend that at the mo. Harsh times and all that.
  7. The £500 one, aslong as it's mechanically sound you could have that back to its prime for less than a £1000 all in Just a thought.
  8. I've got a twitter. No idea how to use it. Had Facebook, was definitely more hassle than it was worth! Hence deletion, my misses can't get enough of it though lol
  9. Although tescos 99 Ron is mixed with a lil bit of methanol, which will lower temps slightly
  10. Tried slackening it off if its adjustable? Is the arm bent or anything? Just a thought
  11. Was that a straight swap? I have one of these kicking around at the minute might bolt it on for a change (Consider this a free bump! lol)
  12. Get rid of the manual boost controller bud and just use the actuator, replied on your other thread how to adjust it.
  13. My Glanza is off the road for the time being, either going to turn up to japfest in the 85 civic or the diesel primera I picked up today lol If I go in the primera I'm parking out of sight To be fair that's one random ass place for coilovers to snap. That's my only technical input! Lol Good luck!
  14. Turbine swirly thingy? Ey? Any pics I'm intrigued! Lol Manual boost controllers are generally a bit pump, get rid and fit either a HKS actuator or an EBC
  15. Disconnect the pin/arm from the turbo (usually a lil circlip thingy) And then wind it out (you may need a little spanner) then test drive and see what she boosts too ;-)
  16. Same boat, although seriously contemplating selling up and buying a monster. Good luck on the hunt mate! Be careful if you do go down that route and properly inspect it, not exactly the most reliable/cheap to fix cars on the market.
  17. I'm in the same boat aswell mate. I just brought a Nissan Primera 2.2dci for £809 off eBay! Lol Picking it up tomorrow :-P bargain! But personally I wouldn't go for any of those on your list, if I had to though I'd go for the A3! You considered an MG ZT diesel? 50mpg, BMW engine and dirt cheap because of the badge? I'm assuming I got this nissan so cheap because it looks like a melted jelly mould.
  18. It's the big day :-P come on duck this beards getting itchy
  19. Keep us in the loop, in the mean time I might grow a beard to quizzically scratch :-P
  20. I have a cooling fan/aluminium cooling guard thingy brand new in the box at work for a civic rad; ill have a nose tomorrow :-P
  21. I was thinking about this today (when things confuse me I tend to dwell on them :-P ) It's obviously ran lean to go like that, in your spec you say you have a SARD FPR? There are probably more fake SARDs on the market than genuines, they have a tendancy to fail/fuck shit up. Are you 100% that its running faultlessly?
  22. That BMW is still for sale I think lol
  23. They look smart to be fair :-P I like this setup personally but it's for a 300zx :-( http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=484&category_id=73&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7
