Well I can only go from personal experience. The calipers aren't that heavy, the discs obviously are! But they haver to be, they're bigger an allow the heat to escape better. I haven't noticed any change in handling to the car, other than the fact I'm not on the limit with braking coming into corners like on the standard set-up, therefore allowing better entry to the corner, which means carrying more speed though-out the corner. No point in having light brakes that don't work. And I'm still running the same 15" wheels that were on there, so not a huge change for such a huge improvement

Yeah I have noticed there is alot more control over the braking than I though there would be, and you 100 % correcct about down to the driver. If someone had these fitted and just stamped on the brakes Everytime, they would just be locking up everywhere, good control onto them and I've found they outbrake alot of stuff, and show no signs of heat fade at all, unlike the standard ones which nearly cost me big time at Donnington. That's running Parada spec 2 tyres (they do lOck up easy when they haven't warned up), should imagine they'll be even better when I get my hands on some 888s!

Yeah but most brakes you can lock the wheels up? It's like having 400bhp, but saying there's no point in having it because the tyres will just spin up. You get to know the brakes and there locking up point. Don't get me wrong, I can lock the brakes up at 140mph, yet you can still brake very controlled without locking up, hence out braking every car I've been up against since fitting them (silverstone) Worth every penny IMO and I didn't get them cheap!
  5. Yeah it will be the fact that it had bigger injectors for 1.2bar map!

  7. Dunno, the apexi one comes with its own plug and play harness attached. And the apexi ones are only single solinoid so not the best anyway
  8. After an Apexi AVC-R Solenoid valve as mine isn't holding 1.4bar any more! Where's the cheapest to get one?
  9. Ohh shit... Nahh, what you on about?? LOL
  10. Yeah some of the lads kept dropping hints :/ I thought I'd have learnt by now, but its the same situation every week haha!

  13. I'll be there on Leics Motor Club stand
  14. I fill my oil cooler full of oil (messy job) and fill my engine oil as normal. Crank the engine over a few times, check engine oil level. Take the car out an get the oil hot enough for the thermostat to open the oil cooler (mines 70deg c) let the car cool down and check the level again. When it comes to an oil drain, you will have to drain the oil cooler separately to the engine as the stat will be closed (again a messy job, but has to be done)
  15. I thought it was due to the fact that its stroked to make it 1.5 that they don't like to rev as much, rather than a bigger bore/piston size.
  16. Few pictures of the car at Ashby Folville show: Something abit different And the other cars I went down with, mk4 Golf, Slammed! Astra van, b16 Civic Thought it was time I got my lightweight fly wheel on, so got the box off! All was going well untill I took the clutch off, its foooked!! Thats been sent off to be re-lined and the pressure plate skimmed, should be back today! Standard flywheel vs Toms/Cusco lightened fly wheel, HUGE difference in weight so looking forward to trying it. Weighed the after market one and it came back at 4.3kg, however the scales werent the best so
