-------------------------------------------------------------------
hey all.. got bored today so decided to change the colour on my front glanza badge..**96 SPEC BUMPER**THINGS NEEDED--------------------1. small flathead screw driver2. small philips screw driver3. paint "your choice"4. fags & teafirst thing to do is remove the grill from bumper to get to screw that holds badge in place...----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------once off get a small flathead screw driver to prise away badge from backing-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------NOTE; remove old adhesive/glue from badge and backing-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------next you can scrape away the old silver paint using a small flathead screw driver------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------once finished it should be see through like below------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------now choose a colour for your glanza logo.. (i used blue).. once your have put the colour you choosed on and your happy thats it all covered and paint is dry, spray the whole back of the badge black.. use a few coats..this will bring up the colour you used and cover the rest of the back of the badge.. once this is done and paint is dry its time to secure the badge back onto the backing.. epoxy resin or tiger seal will do.. once glue is set, remount it to the car and put back on grill..------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------pics of badge refitted to bumper-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------jobs done.. a simple little mod for the exterior styling of your glanza...

What are they on N/A boxes ?
Guarantee there was a N/A box in my GT haha.not sure tbh mate.. ive 3 glanza's out the back here and all have different gearboxes... the last 3 GT's i done work with has the black casing's and 90% of the glanza's i worked on were alloy casings
-
the badge will pop out.. get a small screw driver in behind it and prise it off... all you do then is remove the paint from the glanza bit with a small flat head screw driver ot what ever fits... paint the glanza bit what ever colour you want.. let dry, then spray the whole backing black... some sealant to pop the badge back into the holder then
-
Thats the thing with these cars, on some sales ads a lot of the spec list is pure shit. Theres been loads of funny ones recently haha.
Also whilst were taking about gearboxs. 5th gear casing on FTE boxes, should it be steel or alloy ?on the GT's they are steel painted black.. on glanza's they are alloy
-
you can take it apart and colour it any colour you like
one i did
-
Ah I can see better now that I have a none lsd box then which is shit as I was sold the car as lsd !
Il be stripping it all out so il have to check
again, the LSD could be inside the box...... "an aftermarket one"
-
i know where there one for sale here in ireland mate if your interested
-
Another query is that the lsd box has a different a different mount, one is alloy ans one is steel if anyone knows which is which ?
stock rear mount
OEM LSD rear mount
-
half the world knows now
-
nice find.... so many LSD's with holes in them... hard to know exactly which one it is unless you opened the box...top assumptions are quaife, trd mechanical or kazz
-
ok... the OEM factory lsd gearbox had the LSD on the outside of the box.. easy to see
this is a stock gearbox but there could be a aftermarket LSD inside the box..
OEM LSD = outside of gearbox on drivers side "easily seen"
aftermarket LSD = inside the gearbox, "cant be seen"
as mentioned above, the easiest way to check to see if a gearbox has a "aftermarket LSD" is to jack up the front of the car and spin one wheel by hand.. if it "has" a aftermarket LSD, the other wheel will spin the same direction.. if the other wheel spins the opposite direction, its a stock gearbox/stock diff...
theres no drives in the picture, to be 100% sure, pop out one of the inner joints from the gearbox and look into the box.. if you can see a bar, its stock.. if you can see straight through or if theres a plate theres a aftermarket LSD in there....

the oil from exhaust is normal.. the fuel is basically oil too.. lubes the engine and fuels it..
is the controller working? as in, does the servos work when you operate the throttle and steering?
