  1. Bought a manual boost controller. Meet him at the Lakeside meet. Went out his way to show me what to do, and explain different setups. Also talked me through boost creep/fuel cut issues! Top man, I cant' recommend him anymore! Even texting me to help with various questions i throw at him. - I must be saved as "Annoying Glanza Owner" Brilliant guy!
  2. So, from what i could see. 1st gear im boost around 0.4bar 2nd gear it was a solid 0.8bar and 3rd gear i ran out of road.. So, i need to retest! but, is that about right?.. I HAVE GOT 1 & 2 restriction STILL in place. So i thought 0.8bar is ALOT to be boosting considering its limited still.
  3. Another cheeky update, Boost gauge arrived last night. I was desperate to find out what im boosting too! Here's how it looks, Just awaiting next thursday to order my pod pillar gauge! Currently it's wedged above the stereo. Basically aimed at to get a nice colour match when i finally get indigo dials! More updates soon!
  4. Sounds like my bank will take a serious beating.
  5. I'll give this a go this evening. - I'll see how it goes!
  6. That could work out better for me, i have like 6ft of hoseing.. So im limited as to how far i can move it! Is that still a good place to measure the boost?
  7. Hmm.. Crappy situation on CT9 i must admit....
  8. What if i was to put an adjustable HKS actuator on, set the boost to say 0.7 bar and then with the manual controller set that to 0.7 if it creeps it may be under fuel cut. If it creeps over, lower the boost more?
  9. I think i have found it?
  10. Just a quick one, looking for a quick reply! Can anyone throw a picture up of where i need to connect my tpiece into the vac hose for my boost gauge? Thanks
  11. the 2.2 H series engines are nuts. Made my old EP3 look silly in a straight line.
  12. We spoke in regards to TD04, but thats on hold for a month so i want safe boost on the CT9
  13. That's basically what i was thinking. But wanted clarification it would work.. Im not a speed freak so running the lower boost isn't an issue. For temporary measures anyway! Would it be worth fitting my HKS actuator along with the manual boost controller? Then use my Boost gauge to setup the boost?
  14. I have read that, but im after more of a temporary and cost effective fix as TD04 parts will be on order in December.
  15. It is fuel cut, i have decribed it wrong.
  16. I can feel it coming in. But i let off before i fully hit it!
  17. My car is not very modified (currently). I have an air filter in the OEM air box's place. a HKS Decat plumbed into a HKS Hi Silent Power exhaust. If i use high boost in second gear and let it rev highly enough i hit fuel cut. Basically, what are my options to avoid this. I will be going TD04 in the next 3/4 months. I don't particularly want to spend alot as i need a short term resolution before i go TD04. So, if i was to install a manual boost controller, and effectively lower the boost to lower than the factory OEM "high" setting would this stop me from hitting cut? I'm guessing the decat is allowing the turbo to spool faster and fire out more air causing the issue. I have a boost gauage and manual boost controller landing at my door either today or tommorow i would expect and i just want to know if this would work. I also have a HKS adjustable actuator sat in my garage. But from reading up some have high .bar springs, and i'm unsure of what mine is. It's brand new and in the box but without instructions, it was a deal sweetener from when i purchased the car. I would appreciate some guidance, as i really dont want to damage the engine. - Porting the wastegate isn't an options as i will be ripping the whole CT9 setup out Christmas time. Thanks
  18. I think i'll get some 40mm springs and use them on the standard glanza suspension i have. Something like these.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-STARLET-Hatchback-40mm-Lowering-Springs-7624-1-3-/151113234263?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item232f0cf757
  19. I'd snap this up in a heartbeat if it was the end of the month!
  20. Meh 80 mile drive... Why the heck not! Im in! My car should be drastically different then Russ
  21. 40mm.. That looks perfect on the 45's I may have to go 195/45/15 then!
  22. Is that predicting 95 miles from half a tank? That's a nice looking car to be fair. If you want luxury interior.. Then VAG group is the only way to go! Glad you like it!
  23. PM me a picture?
  24. The controller is going with a SSARD fuel pressure regulator etc.. You would need to control your boost otherwise your just pop the engine..
  25. Didn't you have a fault actautor? I remember reading in the past about it. I am basically going to setup the actuator, and use the boost controller to tweak it. It's a cheaper way than mapping etc. But your are correct.
