Not updated in a while but everything is ready for mapping now and is booked in to TD for the 28th of this month. Power figures will remain a mystery until the day.. But I know what I want/what everything is capable of so I'm pretty excited! . Erm, probably missed a whole load of stuff that I've done since I last updated but here's some of the stuff that I remember doing when I've had time lol. The intercooler never sat quite central, meaning the headlamp sat on top of it. This pissed me off for about a year but never did another about it until recently lol, enough was enough so I just knocked up some brackets for it and sat it central. (Don't mind the passenger chassis leg lol, that was an experiment that went quite a bit wrong.. So just ignore the bent ness of it lol). Before. After. Got my boost pipes made up and all welded together. No more boost leaks, so happy! Made a short shifter using a GT shifter. Extended is 2" either end. Got a poly bush mount. Also bought a torque damper and fitted it but didn't take any pictures. But here's one of the bay that I hate so much. Couple of general pictures. Also bought a GT passenger seat over the weekend and got it fitted today. Cleaned it up, hovered and shampoo'd.. Came out really nice and looks/sits SO much better. Such a good mod to do imo. Anyway, like I said the car is all ready for mapping now. Stuff I've done for mapping prep; WEPR intake plenum. New dizzy cap. New rotor arm. New iridium plugs gapped to 0.8. Oil change. Oil filter change. Custom fabricated boost pipes. Torque damper. Poly bush mount. Re mounted intercooler with new brackets. Fitted short shifter. Probably a few more things, like finally got round to getting a new battery stay and little bits like that to clean everything up. Lots more to come after mapping and before japfest, for example I'm having my whole front end cut out and it's being tubular framed (hence not being bothered about the bent chassis leg experiment). And more shit. That's about it I guess. Cheers.

255. Everything else is ready, been running 240bhp at around 1.1 bar previously before I went forged so its all set up from then . Fully forged. Racetech topmount manifold. Garrett GT28rs turbo. 3" front exit. WEPR plenum. Custom boost pipes (as of tomorrow). Loads of shit lol can't be fucked to list it all haha. Going to be running it on EMU with Denso 550cc injectors. I never update my build thread so no one really knows what the car looks like or anything lol.

I ain't paying over £50 for oil lol bun that. I'll find some good 5-40 oil on ebay though, cheers everyone!

Well, finally got the car booked in today for mapping on the 28th of this month. Having my boost pipes made up this week hopefully, all welded together so there's only a joiner either end. Rather excited! Anyway, obviously I want the car to be at it's optimum so I've done some pre-mapping things such as; Iridium plugs gapped to .8. New dizzy cap. New rotor arm. Oil change. Oil filter change. Now my next question is, I used Castrol 10-40 oil.. Will that be ok for a forged engine? I've always used it, however now that I'm forged I want to be sure it will be ok. Seems fine so far. Is there anything else I should do before going for mapping?

To your first question, no that is not the stock pipe. I would personally buy a stock one from someone on here and then just do exactly what amjad did in his thread that you linked above.

Tbh Micky is sound, however I've never dealt with him. Spoken to him loads before though and is a nice guy! Hopefully the issue can get resolved.

Vacuum hose from side port of wastegate to vacuum source on the turbo/next available vacuum. Leave top port on wastegate blank with no vacuum on it.

They trick the ECU in to thinking it's running the most boost that the ECU can handle without an FCD. People frown upon them a lot, so wait for the dozens of people to tell you to spend £500+ on an emanage blue for about 3bhp gain lol. Yaaar.
