Fogdoggydog's Daihatsu YRV
Fogdoggydog replied to Fogdoggydog's topic in Other Motors Progress Blogs
After seeing on youtube i decided to record my own 0-60 time. It's def nothing special, and when I timed it - by using windows movie maker and splitting the actual 0-60 part - I only got 9.67secs! Perhaps due to the awful start? If I decided to keep the whyarevee as a full on turbo-charged nutter project then this vid will serve as a nice 'before' comparison. Once I get my uni dissertation out of the way I'll be getting my custom grill fitted and a Personal Computer fitted in the boot (which will no-doubt slow me down a bit more)! -
Very tasty honda. Welcome.

You need to pay £10 a month for sky+ subscription to in order to use the sky+ness. Not sure if you can use it as a standard box if you don't pay though. Perhaps you could ask the guy that works for sky?

They are the tyre pressures kg/cm2 is the metric equivalent of lb/in2 (or psi) I don't think I've ever seen spring rate figures in owner manuals?

Hmmm, I LOVE the Type-R, but I'm not keen on the R-R. It's like they've let a chav with a limited budget re-design the standard civic. "Right, I have £50 to pimp this ride out, like, like, so it is", mubbles the chav. "I'll put loadsa bonnet pins, an air scoop on it and a massiff sunstrip, like, like, so it is." I'm surprised they didn't put bonnet pins on instead of door handles. The air scoop is really OTT in my opinion. It's not like it's gonna cut it as a pure rally machine so it'll not have much use as a snorkel. It's not like the engine is in the back, so it's not the only way

Awesomeness!

Cracker! LOL! I nearly fell back off my chair laughing @ 2minutes 30secs in! It was all just building up to that point! And did anyone else spot the whisk hanging from the rear view mirror in the chase car? WTH?
-
I had 8, and 11 on the bike test.
-
We may not have them over here, but c'mon, your bound to have guessed! And congrats on the Pass! Only getting 2 minors is some going!!
-
Nice! LOVE the wheels!

A bench? Haha! What part of a bench is small and round enough to puncture a bumper with that size of hole?
-
Hmm, shiny! Engine bay scrubbed up nicely too. Did you change the bumper because of the cut-out round the exhaust?

Sweet! That's some car for the money! You sure matched all of them! -
Haha! Some sweet rides there. Looks like a good meet.

Any pictures of this meet?

After asking 'what's that other strut' on another thread an idea popped into my head. What about a glossary of technical jargon? That way the techno-noobs can look it up anything they don't know. A thread (or a section with a thread for each word/phrase/terminology) dedicated to technical explainations of all thing starlet could be set up. Or, if folks are feeling adventerous, a system could be set up wherin anytime a technical word is displayed on page it is highlighted and will provide a popup on mouse over with an explaination or link to a wikipedia page or something.

I suppose it would look tidier. Bo Selecta!

It was some baz fella. Looks great in his sig. I just wonder if that's the Fiat orange or something else. Regardless it is an amazing color.
-
Think it's just Fait's Caribbean Orange. Looks amazing when it's sunny - have yet to find a good picture of it, they have all been dull days.

Also, visted that attentionseekerz site and found this Prob not many folks cup of tea, but DAMN, I wanna spray my car that color!
