Just realised there at the weekend that the cup holder in a YRV seems to be living in a din slot. So if you ever find a YRV in a scrappers you can get a cup holder from it. And if you do ever find a YRV in a scrappers please let me know cause I'm looking a few parts myself and they are like hen's teeth over here. Cheers people.

Awesomeness! Pure awesomeness! You mentioned a long stroke crank. I'm curious - how does this work? Surely if it's travelling further it'll smack into the head on the compression stroke. Did you have to use shorter con-rods too?

Wire one of the switches to the brake lights, and that way you'd have a clever phrase display everytime you brake. That way you'd still have a centre brake light, of sorts.

Ok, sweet! So someone said that it may improve performance or fuel consumption. What would wires would I need to change to see an improvement? [edit] Also I've been browsing the interweb (again) for info on tuning my engine and found on a perodua owners forum that voltage regulators can improve performance as well. Any thoughts on this? So what EXACTLY is a ground wire kit? Some fancy electro bit of gubbins? Something you fit to a battery? Or is it a handful of thicker wires? And how/where do you fit it? Feel free to answer questions I've missed. Basically I want knowledge.

Better than any easter egg!

I have no idea what 6x9's are the best, but when I bought my first car I bought the cheapest 6x9's that halfrauds were selling at the time. And the cheapest MP3 playing headunit with a 4x50W power rating - which was a JVC. The speakers were £35 blue JVC jobbies, rated at 250W or something, but DOOD they sounded great. The main cone was rather flimsy which, I suppose, made them easier to move, making them very punchy. And the treble always sounded very crisp and clear. I don't think any 6x9's offer outstanding bass, and I was never able to compare them against any other 6x9's, but for the price I could not fault them at all. In fact, I miss them. ;) The system in my current car has two 12" subs and some 13cm co-axial speakers is definitely a lot bassier, but it lacks mid-bass PUNCH and doesn't sound as clear the system with the 6x9's. As for the head unit, I'd just pick something that has all the features you want. Any head unit from a decent manufacturer will sound fine in a car, because although more expensive unit may have better specs, I'll be very hard to hear the subtle differences over the road noise anyway.

A hairdryer and WD40 should soften the adhesive on both type of stickers/badges. DON'T USE A HEAT GUN!

Just got a chance to listen to this mix there now. I was lovin' it. It transported me to a sunny Spanish beach, and I actually zoned out and totally lost track of what I was trying to do in visual studio at one stage. The mixin' was tight, seamless, but such is the type of music that nothing jumped out and grabbed me. This track would've been great @ 0600 friday morning after a night on the sesh! You should have heard some of the muck that was being played instead... I'll be looking forward to some more mixes dood. @streetracer: I'll def be looking forward to some 'electro nastyness' as long as it's not too minimal. And you don't particualry need an audigy EX soundcard to record of your decks (of course the better the soundcard, the better the recorded quality should be). All you need is a lead like this. And if you need to know how to get Abelton or Fruityloops gimme a shout. ;)
