Nice thread! It's cool to see cars with a bit of a story behind them. I had the idea of tinting the front lights (came to me a while back, so I'm not really stealing the idea ). How did you go about it? And did you have any problems in the MOT? And other related questions!

I'd say you should get a custom one knocked up by powerflow or someone. You should be able to specify the sound you want from it (Mine sounds like a japanesse sports car ). And it'll not be much more than an off the shelf jobbie, unless you want to go mad and put them out the roof and all.

The straight lines and sharp edges won't suit a curvy lil minx of a car like a starlet.

If the wheels are already scrubbing without being lowered you will definitely need to get the arches rolled when you do get sports springs onto it.

Ditch it!!!!! My non-PAS Fiesta was great fun to drive. Where it lacked in speed, it gained in roundabout related mayhem. Car without power steering are much more fun to drive. You biceps won't get much bigger cause when the car is moving the steering in very light in small cars anyway. And as for the parking thing, you have to learn to never turn the wheels while the car is stationary cause if you only turn the wheel while the car is moving it's not heavy at all. It may sound daft to all those used to spinning the wheel with one hand while the car is sitting on one spot, but you'll get used to it.

Management? That's a bit of a different career path. As long as that's something you'll love doing... Surely you can get the apprenticeship, and get a part time job to give you extra money for your fancy shoes and whatnot.

My theory is that drivers expect the others on the road to be capable of driving when, in fact, they aren't. If you drive like everyone else on the road is a complete n00b or a joyrider or something else equally as bad then you learn to be more careful as you are watching out for all the other idiots. The other day I was driving to Uni in the outer lane a motorway, when knob in a Beemer came flying down the slip road just ahead of me like his crotch was on fire. He pretty much didn't bother waiting for there to ample space to exit the slip road and came out between two cars on the inner lane, and straight across into the outer lane right in front of me in one movement. I had saw him fly down the slip lane and start to force himself between the two inner-lane cars, and slowed down, expecting him to go right out in front of me. He did. And if I hadn't have reacted before it happened he would have ended up in my passenger seat.

That car isn't a YRV, I have no idea what the flip it is!! it's a Kia Picanto. This is a YRV! And the YRV is nothing like a Starlet, it's more like a Yaris, only betterer!
