  1. Maybe I'll try that, as a FTE is in Germany really expensive. Just the engine, putting it in and getting it road legal would cost much more than 5000€... Thats nearly 4 times the cost of my EP91 Moonlight all Stock. And I already put more than 400€ in it for the Spoiler, the intake and some small parts. And the money I gave tomsgtadvance, that doesn't answer to my PNs on UKSC and doesn't seem to be online here And as the K24 is from a German Audi it should be easier to get road legal.
  2. Ever seen Motions 115PS red EP91? Or I think he has a few bits of PS more, like 117 or so. And he hasn't even got other or modded cams and is still rocking the 4E-FE Gen3 Intake Manifold. @Mike: So you just bolted on the K24 with an Intercooler, fitted FTE Injectors and mapped the stock ECU with the help of a Emanage? Or was there some work on the had done too, like uprated valve springs?
  3. I saw it on many build threads, many put 16" on the Starlets, some even squeeze 17" on. I remember one build where the user (I don't recall who it was) had 16"s on and complained when the cops stopped him for speeding but his clocks showed him he drove not faster than allowed. When the clocks aren't adjusted to the bigger diameter of rims including tires it shows a slower speed than there actually is. That is why I in Germany for example can use max. 15" with 195/45 tires. I could go bigger with flatter more low profile tires I think, but that would just look too stupid in my eyes.
  4. Power to weight is not everything. The acceleration depends purely on torque, ideally in the whole RPM range. But a bit lower is generally better for acceleration. Also grip is important and the weight of the parts driven by the engine. So an engine with all parts lightened to the max is with same power faster in acceleration than the same stock engine. Also you UK guys tend to use wheels bigger than 15" which also slows down acceleration as the mass that has to be accelerated is bigger than with smaller and lighter rims. So much for physics why this car is faster. The car really looks nice,
  5. Wow, really, Geography isn't my favorite, didn't expect it to be that much longer. But still, I want to be there too, and if it's only to establish a bond between UKSO and the German Starletclub.
  6. If you drive through Lower Saxony in Germany I'd be in. I don't know if I would come if you take the shorter route along the edge of france and the netherlands.
  7. Okay, so even my account was directly ported over? In Germany this would be a huge copyright infringement and you could go to jail for this. At least pay several thousands of € for that. I don't know how to feel about this.... Also to me there is only ONE real UK Starlet Community and that's the UKSC (TGTT is more specially for turbos in my eyes)
  8. I want what you did to that fender. Better than normal colorcoding by far.
  9. Doe the UK Starlets really all have 2DIn? My German one and afaik all other LHD ones have Single DIN Standard and afaik no DualDIN at all available as extra.
  10. If like 50mm would be enough take the TB from a Toyota 7A-FE engine. And if needed widen it a bit.
  11. Had that Idle and also running issue on mine too. The fault was one of the spark cables has been too old and started to crumble right on the spark plug. Had to irder new sparks and cables.
  12. As I noted my post getting a bit critical, please forgive me, but those are my personal views how I would have done or tried to do it. But it's just a start so I'll watch the progress as I like the looks of the S ;) Personally I don't like the CCFL in direct Field-of-View (whatever a better term is in English) because I know them for years from my time as a PC-Modder and the first rule for any light back then was: Do not let it come into direct view. Also I would have mounted the gauges in a A-Pillar bar or at least try to hide the cables and possibly try to hide the mounts a bit. Apart from
  13. Damn, the ACIS would be around 300€ (I think at least 250£) here in Germany. Adds like 15-20PS to a stock 5EFE pushing it above 100PS. Would give a similar boost (15PS) to a 4E-FE. Too bad I don't have the money right now, to me 90£ or 110€ is REALLY Cheap.
  14. Maybe the Glanza R didn't have them. Saves weight.
  15. I'll see if my taste changes. If it does I always can take the white parts off of mine and colorcode them like you did ;) I hope you visit my build thread when I get to some new parts ;) In what way are Glanza mirrors different scott?
  16. You should check that because the engine HAS to get it's earth from somewhere.
  17. Personally I liked the red and black theme more. It fitted together like my skyblue with white. Colorcoding looks so flat, boring and normal.
  18. Yes, the code is, but not the name for it. Also there were loads of color choices. Maybe we could start a list here. Like (just the ones I know out of my head): Code - (Official) Colorname 8M2 - Sky Blue Metallic 040 - Super White 2 746 - Tropicana Metallic 8K9 - Azure Blue 3E5 - Super Red 2
  19. Sorry to ask a little question, but shouldn't this have a thing to protect from theft like the starlets? I don't know the English name but apparently in the P9 like mine if the little control unit connected with the ignition barrel doesn't recognize the key it won't send a special signal to the ECU and the Fuel Valves won't work. No fuel comes into the motor so it won't run at all. Only described, my English is not so good on technical details, sorry. Had to do a bit of research in that topic as my father (who pays for the car but gave it to me as a present) took my keys because I quit school
  20. Like in title, I want to know the colorcodes and their names for the Starlet-Colors (nut just the Glanza or Turbo). Not just for reference for others but also I want to finally know the name of my own color code. The only thing I know is that it may be used as a replacement for the long discontinued blue of the "Zündapp" motorcycles (called "Zündapp blue").
  21. Mine has still a bit work to do. I told you a few plans if you recal ;) But as most time it only comes down to the funds ;)
  22. Have you got a pic of the HRF Spats unfitted? Because I want my car to be two tone, so I'd want some kind of splitter or something like that on the (to get) Glanza rear bumper to be painted white while the bumper will be Colorcoded light blue.
