    Decat isn't needed but some sort of engine Management is. Well, I wouldn't drive without a cat because just throwing it out is easy. Compensating for having one is more fun and more respectable.     Well, as my Router is broken I can't give you the link but someone building engines for racing bikes made this statement and proved it. Two exactly identical engines who run in the same races and where build the same time. The one driven in hard made more power and when disassembling the cylinders of the softdriven where black and coaled, the ones from the hard driven in were as if they were new. What do you think why a car driven by a granny makes less power than one driven normal? Because the piston rings can't sit right and don't bed in as good if driven carefully. Well maybe you can find

    When rebuilding the engine you need to drive it in fast and hard to reach optimum sealing and have it healthy for long, don't forget that. Driving it in slow and soft is worse for the engine than getting it straight on track and rev the shit out of it. Oh and rev, did you raise the rev limit to stock 7800 yet?

    Ah damn, I forgot you have your drivers side to the right. Gives me cringe everytime I see a RHD from the front. Not because of the steering wheel but because of the window wipers. They look so wrong to me because being on the other side In my opinion you should heighten it a bit again and fix the bodywork (rust, broken boot handle and stuff) and You`ll really love it again and it will be much more fun to drive I think. And get the Glanza Spoiler on, it looks awesome.

    The Tercel has more in common with the Paseo (the sport-coupe brother of the Starlet). The interior, especially handbrake and gearknob surround are the same as in German Baseos, Starlets have a little coin holder in front of the handbrake. Also the engine is the same as the Paseos. But the air intake at the front which goes to the filter housing is much bigger than at a Starlet and I think than even of the Paseo.

    Well, in the Corolla EE10 88bhp was the 4E Gen1 with 88bhp, the engine which the FTE is based on and which was able to reach 100bhp in some cars like some JDM ep80. Unique to it was the intake mani, afaik also used on FTE and a 4-2-1 exhaust. It also had the afaik lowest compression ratio. Gen2 was 75bhp and used in the Starlet (apart from Japan only P9) and the 75bhp EE10. Gen3 was in the Corolla EE11 and made 86bhp and was also found in the Glanza S and some later Starlets.     You still using the 4E ECU? I read with that you don't achieve the max power on the 5E.

    The cheapest ACIS I saw was 150. The cheapest FTE was 1400. Only engine and Turbo parts. So the ACIS isn't that expensive. My new engine (opting for a low km 4E now as my Headgasket has failed) will be 365 which is nearly the cheapest and with only 62.000km on clocks. But mayve in UK everything is cheaper.

    Well, now that I have got ny tires sortes and a few extras on the way to me my engine gave up on me. Suggestions from my family and car-engineers: Buy a new car. My suggestion: get 1500 and get a 5E, Paseo-brakes and some other stuff and make the car a bit faster and more comfy on the inside. Well, before my engine gave up I wanted a turbo 5E in it but for now a NA 5E with 130.000km shall replace the broken 215.000km 4E. Oh, and some basic mods are already planned, my turbular mani will be put on the 5E and a 4-2-1 exhaust mani will be sourced out of a Corolla E10 ;)

    Ah, thank you. Together with the TTE one this is the nicest Splitter I have seen for the NA-Frontend. That's why I'm asking, because I'd like one of these on mine too ;)
