My cars due for mapping at TD shortly and mike asked me where my boost controller was ? I said I didn't have one and then after a few emails back and forth we came to the conclusion that ill have to buy one. After spending a shit load of money down there while my car has been there since the start of January I told mike i just cant afford to buy a Blitz Spec R controller, and he said it wasnt a problem that i had decided to purchase a second hand unit and send it down to him. Mike mentioned that a dual solenoid unit would be better for obvious reasons, main one being that they can normally hold around 2.5 bar and that single solenoid units are normally about 1.3 and are not as stable when pushing them above boost reccomendations/limits. My question is which controller would you choose im leaning towards a Greddy Profec Spec II but cant really find any hard evidence to suggest that it has 2 solenoids (Eo1 version if this is the first of the spec II ones) Blitz/Greddy/HKS are the units mike said are best to use so any of these would be ideal but not looking to spend stupid money just need something that will allow me to run the boost i want without any spikeing or being unstable and messing up the fun ! the car will be mapped on emanage ultimate running td's new billet 300 tdo4, we will be mapping to 1.4 bar or just above to ensure i have a piece of paper that states 300hp haha ! any help would be appreciated also open to offers if anyone has one for sale! thanks again, chris !

i went looking for a few today but they are all silly high mileage mine had only done 33k with a fsh ! see what happens, good idea though cheers ! and great stuff man thats her ran in now waiting on injectors coming in mapped, brakes on, coilies on, wheels on, boost !

Not been as active on here as I used to be due to my starlet being off the road since July last year, I went away with the forces from September until Christmas day and the plan was for Tuning Developments to have the car picked up and hopefully finished by the time I got back. The car wasn't picked up until January this year and she is still at Tuning Developments at the minute but I understand Mike and Nick are really busy guys and im sure that it will be worth the wait, seen a few people waiting longer than expected for their cars but good things come to those who wait. So thought I would start a thread and get a little update going to keep anyone who wants to know in the loop, some of the Scottish boys know the score already but for those of you who don't this will keep you going until i get my build thread up when the car is back. The car was pretty much standard when i got her apart from a filter and an exhaust. I am the first UK owner and wanted to be the first UK owner since i started looking for one. Some time had passed with a few subtle bits and bobs being added but nothing major and after 3 years with her going through good and bad i decided to take the plunge and go fully forged as the bottom end let go after fitting a new wepr tdo4 setup. The car initially went down for a stage 2 forged engine, run in, fueling mods and a map and now she ended up having the following done: Stage 2 Forged Engine Run In Mapped On EMU, launch controll set up New Billet 300 Tdo4 Fitted due to old wepr unit failing Spec 6 Clutch Bc Raceing Coilovers Ksports New Grids in Bronze wrapped in yoko AD08 tyres, brand new grid v's had to be changed due to brake clearance Fuel pump, rrfpr, injectors Engine bay wire tuck Heatwrap exhaust and a good few other bits, but thats pretty much it with a small update i will go into details etc in the build thread, mike has assured me i will have 300hp on paper which im very happy about, ill be sure to get loads of pictures and videos. on a slightly worse note last night i missed fourth and hit second in my ep3 and put a spark plug through piston number 2 and need a new k20 engine on had 33k on it from 04 to say im gutted is an understatement ! cheers for reading chris !

Spec 2 isnt overly loud on a starlet imo i have ran mine for over a year now and i feel i hear screamer over it, this is at 300hp as of next few weeks, only thing thst puts me iff them is one side of your car will be black with carbon

Going to see it today cant wait but same as above wouldnt mind the odd supra skylinne not lexus ifa's and cars that are just silly watched a bit of it being filmed in glasgow when they were here

thats the spirit lower miles and take the bus to work if possible ive had mine since i was 18 and its worth the wait due back from td shortly running 300hp

im defo up for this, mine should be built by the end of the month so were all good to go on my side from there on. best maybe make it like a sat or sunday ? somewhere we can all get to and that and hopefully have a backup plan if it rains because i dont like bringing mine out the garage in the wet because im a weirdo !
