update; new flywheel with 6 puck clutch fitted.heres some pictures of the old flywheel, its got hotspots,is badly warped and is also cracked !!!! the below picture is of the pressure plate side of the clutch---note the full wearing in of the face of the pad. the picture below is the old flywheel side of the clutch---note the pad is bedding in only on the edge and not full face so for now the clutch is done and dusted ,i am going to run it in before i go mad with it.maybe half throttle for a good week of daily driving and hopefully all will be ok !!!!!

update : i have fitted a brand new 6 puck clutch from iddy at id workz as my standard exedy clutch has been slipping. turns out that even when i fitted this new clutch at £350 it still slips so something else is not right, theres no way 2 clutchs are problematic, especially one with a 250% uprated torque. so basically its clear the only thing left thats not been replaced is the flywheel which must be shot/glazed.at this stage i am not willing to chance getting the flywheel skimmed,so i bought a brand new genuine part one at £170.

This camber mod transforms a well setup starlet (coilys, polybushes etc) Hugely worth while doing, makes u more confident driving as the rear of the cars really grippy and predictable

I did amjads and its perfectly obtainable on a starlet with some minor adjustments And yeah people do get way to excited !!!!!

Best bet is always check peoples feedback !!

Like 10 miles. The clutch is working fine in the fact the pedals letting the clutch fully engage as there is 1cm or so of play on the clutch before you hit the pressure of the pedal if u get me. -

There are small markings around the surface that look like lightning bolts.they are 4-5mm long and thers loads of them. No checks done on flywheel whatsoever. -
Heya guys. So I fitted a new stock turbo exedy clutch a couple of months back and it was still slipping as the old one was. Second gear was the very apparent gear it happens In for whatever reason.so I thought it wasnt man enough for the job as running circa 200bhp (although alot of people have run this power and not had issue) So I went for a super duper £350 6 puck paddle from iddy at id workz which is lovely and heavy and you can tell its really got a good clamping pressure.went out for a drive and I am sure that the 2nd gear slip there still there and also third gear. The c

Yes theres obviously a reason why boost isnt reaching desired level. I would guess a boost leak

Run a td04 for ages now and I am fed up off the power being 4k plus which it is for fact. hybrid is so mucb more usable and I like the car much better. would rather have a stock ct9 at a bar than a td04 . U need to be able to have a fun usable car .a td04 is designed for a 2.0 litre +
