  12. dude howd u get on with this ??? mines now doing what ures is doin.after idling for around 20 secs a lazy smoke trail comes along. what is it ?? turbo or stems
  13. eh yes and no.it depends on if your current coilpack and ignitor are "welded on" with age and corrosion. mine took me an hour and a bit to drill out and fit new bolts and nuts and also prep the "chassis" on which the coilpack and ignitor are perched. good luck with it dude
  14. I got it for trade and the coil pack was about 37 quid. the missfire on mine was dead on 2100 rpm but was oly intermitant,it wasnt ever single time I hovered round that area.
  15. update on the coilpack , has made a huge difference on how the car drives and revs etc and issues have gone fully now. very wise investment that new coilpack and leads !!!
  16. the coil pack was purchased from my local A1 MOTORSTORE I can get a part number tonight for you.its by BLUEPRINT/ADL
  17. thats not goin to help idle and that isnt the way to fix it. it should idle at 600 or 700 no probs at all dude without shaking. the idle adjust screw is near the throttle opening .do not use the wax stat idle adjuster
  18. yes mate. first I would disconnect battery so theres no chance of the engine turning over whilst rope is in any cylinders as this would be disastrous. then like I say when u cant get anymore rope into said cylinder u turn the engine very carefully with a spanner and just lightly compress the cylinder.this will hold valves in place.confirm u cant press them down at all before u go removing collets and springs otherwise ure goin to be starting a HUGE job of taking the head of etc. best of luck dude.been done many times before and if ure unsure always google it or maybe dont do it .
