  1. its roughly 87,000 miles. I wouldnt say it was bad if its been looked after and serviced properly but have a good check over the car.

If you do a quick google search for "starlet buyers guide" you should find a few pages telling you what to look out for

  2. He said he would need the car for about 2 weeks for a full respray, that included removing certain windows to get the best finish. This was the quote he did me, my front bumpers a bit bent on one side and have a few dents here and there so he was going to be sorting all that as well as sorting out the arches.

I had a good hour long chat with him about it all, he seems really into what he does and was making it very clear he knows he's working on someones pride and joy so would take extra care to get it right.

Got quoted the same at pro bodyshop

Glad to hear it patches ! 1500 might seem alot of money but i know he is amazing at what he does, was down a few weeks ago and he had some weird car/buggy thing in, he said there was only four in the country Where abouts you from patches im through in baillieston about ten mins from kennys, look forward to see the work ! How long dis he say it would take ?

im staying up the city centre, he said i should have it back over the weekend or monday if i drop it off the wednesday night

  3. Awryt klkl see when u see him agaim find out what hes after for a full respray. Sounds like he is quite expensive tho.

Full respray in the standard colour i was quoted £1500.

Guy seems totally spot on, im dropping off my starlet next week. Will post photos of the results

  4. Aye no bad man urself? Aye its great, got a wepr ct9 power up kit coming soon as well as a front mount, civic rad, full hose kit and emanage blue waiting to get fitted. Didnt realise how much u've done to your motor man! Is it a td04 u've got the now?

You should get a progress thread up

  5. edit - or try undo the nut on the other side lol?

its welded on at the other side

I should have took some pictures

Didn't you use a round end spanner?

Failing that find a spanner a size or 2 smaller and literally smash it the fuck on there with a hammer til the bolt is properly sitting inside the open end of the spanner.

That's what id do anything, other than cry for a bit first as always when something goes wrong with cars lol.

I used the round end of the spanner and just made it worse so its now impossible to get grip. I'll try a smaller size tomorrow. Problem is its just in such a small area its hard to get any leverage/use a hammer on it. Im swapping out my radiator soon so that might free up some space.

In the mean time i'll just cry  lol!

  6. I was attempting to remove the air conditioning pump tonight when i rounded off this bolt (picture is not my car)

It holds the power steering in place when tensioning. Covered it in wd40 before i even attempted it because i sheered a bolt last week that holds on the splash guard in place. There isn't enough room to get a socket on it, had to use a spanner and its completely fucked now. Absolute nightmare!

The only options i can see are drilling it (no room for a drill so would have to lift the engine out, not really an option)

or perhaps cutting around it to get it off and getting a new/used power steering pump.

Fuck knows how im going to fix it but i'll need it removed for when i want to fit my front mount
