turbo-fever
As title says anyone using Ecumaster standalone ? Found a tuner that will put one on the starlet and map for a good price
aleximport25
I've heard good things about the DET3 piggy back
Starlet__SR
Theres a guy on corolla club uk, Steven Williams. He makes the harnesses up for them. Worth speaking to him.
Phil
Bought one of their standalones before but never had it wired up. Looked lIke a good bit of kit.Phil
turbo-fever
It does so much and can be run off all the standard sensors. They had a few cars there all running it fine gtr, evo 6 another glanza and my pals supra engine in bmw
richardc9052
Yeah I had one in my starlet. Road mapped it myself on 4efe-t so don't have power figures. Even the Det3 piggyback is a semi standalone as is fully takes over fuelling and just piggyback timing. The full standalone EMU is an unbelievable piece of kit though and well worth the extra doh. richardc9052
Colin I've fitted a few to 4efte now. What do you want to know
TimD
What sort of price for fitting and map?
richardc9052
Should be the same as any other ECU.. The price of the unit itself though makes everything much nicer on the pocket
5e colin
Colin I've fitted a few to 4efte now. What do you want to know a pinout of the wires for the det ecu as its a lot cheaper then going emanage
richardc9052
Depends which way you want to wire it in. Fuel implant (standalone fuelling) or standard client (more like an rsm or AFR)
TimD
Sorry, I meant includung ECU, or just ECU on its own?
richardc9052
Det3 on its own is about £160 delivered with internal map sebsor. Semi standalone, standalone fuelling and piggyback timing.
5e colin
Depends which way you want to wire it in. Fuel implant (standalone fuelling) or standard client (more like an rsm or AFR) just using it for controlling bigger injectors on the mines racing ecu as i have no pfc anymore and pm coming your way
richardc9052
And it works off all standard sensors etc and the standard ECU stays put meaning you keep diagnostics. Has launch control, boost control (if you buy a solenoid), road dyno, data logging, live map adjustment, switchable maps etc I could go on
richardc9052
May as well sell the mines ECU and just use this. Takes over fuelling completely so you set your own Rev limit, fuel cut doesn't exist etc..
5e colin
no i will loose like 1000rpm over the stock ecu richard as the stock ecu is set to 7.2 no piggy can raise the rpm as far as i know Edited April 29, 2016 by 5e colin
richardc9052
This isn't just a pggyback. It is standalone for fuelling. Believe me lol standard ECU cannot control the injectors any more. So it cannot cut fuel for rev limit. You have to set it on the det3
