TimD
Is there anything more pointless than a 'show cage', I think not.
Ollieh17
Would still stiffen up the car and for aesthetics. I can think of milllions of more pointless things

Ollieh17
Roll with show cage or roll with out? Bet it helps a bit. No point having one if you dont roll it ;)
jamesglanza
A weld in cage is always going to be best but if you did deside one day to take a detour into a field on your roof I would rather have a bolt in cage than no cage at all.
starletezy
Haha show cages are for scene Queen's I doubt taking a detour in to a ditch with one of these bad boys will save your life lol

starletezy
Fair point would probably take abit of impact before it crushes you lol
Ollieh17
While you face in a standard starlet has already finished being the crumple zone
Phil
rollcage requires a helmet plus probably harnesses in my opinion. no matter the cage or how good it is. you head butt it and your out. Phil
_shaun_
Will be a Cusco one but almost all regs state the main hoop must be one peice so by cutting it it's not technically a show cage.
starletezy
These starlets are like tin cans lol. Defiantly Phil helmet and a good neck brace

TimD
Why would you introduce more metal into a cabin where it's occupants aren't properly strapped in to protective seats, or wearing proper gear? This one has been modified in such a way where is has weakened the main thing that is supposed to be protecting you. I dread to think what would happen to that weld which has been conveniently covered with a bit of padding should the car roll over. What if it shears? Where do you think the sharp end of the piece of metal tube will end up? More than likely in your, or your passengers head!! What if it crumples in such a way, that it impedes the exit from your burning wreck of a car? What if you get out, but your passenger doesn't? I must be getting old, but these are things to keep in mind when fitting fake 'safety' stuff to your car.

Is it worth putting it in your car I wouldn't for the exact reasons you have stated above.
antheon2010
Proper steel pipes dont shear. Water pipes which are seam welded DO SHEAR
