Chops
so i did a quick mock up with some of the parts i plan to fit to it, doesnt really do it justice all different colours and clearly balanced in place lol. also needs a big fat splitter for the air dam look, im struggling to find the car i like to use the splitter from atm, starting to get rare in scrapyards now :/. The mani i pulled from the dead engine. Its external gate vband bit has been stuck on with chewing gum at some point and naturally it leaks, but i cant decide whether to repair, brace and use this or another mani i have which I believe might be an older toyosport, not sure tho. can anyone tell me what it is? Heres a better look at the alloys, a look around on them seems to make them ARC alurads, could do with some conformation on that too tho! the grot is real, this car got no love from its previous owners at all And finally how it sits atm, sadly it might sit like this for a month or two now, I've pinched all i need from it and need to finish the other car, so its staying like this until its finally time to work on a car for myself again! Cattanach
This confirms that I need a mk1 bumper on my Quadlight!'
Chops
tmd mani ??? thatd be nice, id definitely be keeping it if it is! i do like that it holds the turbo further from the block than the other mani i have, it might end up being the deciding factor when i have other bulky old things hanging off the front of the engine with pipework going everywhere, if you know what i mean ;) Nice mate your back never left bud, just taking a break before i go nuts on a proper build! This confirms that I need a mk1 bumper on my Quadlight!' does look cool on a quaddie, good luck finding one lol, let alone one with the original fogs!

Chops
this is the alternative, not sure which is the better choice atm
richardc9052
Well if you dont use the toyo you can sell it to me cheap lol
jiggaman_16
20160810_155902.jpg this is the alternative, not sure which is the better choice atm I would prefer this manifold. The runners merge into the collector much betther than the previous one (look at the angle #3 runner meets the manifold ). Also, the collector itself seems to be a better design, slightly smaller & less voluminous which promotes better exhaust gas flow. Disadvantage would b that the other one has the external wastegate port ...... i'd modify this one by welding the EWG pipe & flange onto it. But thats just my $0.02 Edited August 18, 2016 by jiggaman_16

And its possible.
Chops
so as it turns out lol, its not a straight fit, though it is possible tein did several different sizes as im sure someone has a set of motors for this kit for sale somewhere on here that have a different thread entirely. No matter, ill just need some thread adaptors and some means of extending the 3mm hex key that actually adjusts the shock by around 15mm.
Chops
so ive been procrastinating a bit and working on odds and ends for the black gt project for myself, and i recon ive done rather well on a couple of things i thought id share with you. first of all, ill eat pudding first and drop this: that, ladies and gentlemen, is a starlet miester coilover shock with a tien edfc stepper motor heavily modified to be mounted to the top :L. it fits and works mechanically, but ive yet to connect it to a controller and see if it works on that, fingers crossed eh! I also noticed a 5e crankshaft for sale on the forum, so i grabbed thay, remembering reading somewhere about them being forged. here are a few comparison pics, from the more rounded edges and thicker marks along it what do you lot think eh? Starlet__SR
Still cast by the looks of it. The only thing stronger will be a billet/steel crankshaft. Edited October 23, 2016 by Starlet__SR
Chops
Got some itbs to play with, gotta have that response! Edited January 29, 2017 by Chops
Chops
Damn son, double update! So ive not done too much but acquire more parts for this, and move it to where my old scoob was built as its a much nicer place to work in. still, got a few little things to throw up here in anticipation of actually getting going with this thing in earnest. so i bought these so these are from a suzuki 650f, ive heard others fit nicely but these were cheap, came with a full fuel rail and injectors to match, and were modern enough to have pretty good idle control i could adapt to run with a standalone. in practice though, naturally, theyre in two parts, with each part fitting the flange i cut off an n/a intake manifold perfectly, but the distance between the middle two being a full 25 odd mill to big. this wouldnt be a problem, except for the fact that this is where all teh spring loaded mechanism for the butterfly valves is actually situated, meaning i have to slimline the mechanism too lol. oh well, plough on i suppose lol. i also got a new, not full of holes dashboard glowbadge offer up to be honest, i really like the look of the impression between the lights too, looks good imo. and finally, i offered up the tien edfc, which just clears the bonnet with the larger old school motors housed on top of the meisters.
