EP70-PT
What's needed? it's easier for me than getting a glanza axle shipped to me... Edited September 11, 2016 by EP70-PT
Foggy
You need the axel .
EP70-PT
I saw guys with tercels converting with the GT turbo stuff
SpikeyJp_68
Yes you would need the full axle. Also bear in mind the Ep82 axle is 5mm longer each end than the ep91 axle. Shouldn't make a difference
EP70-PT
http://board.tercelonline.com/viewthread.php?tid=19163 He just used the the caliper beacket, caliper and discs...
Starlet__SR
I'd keep the drums on the rear, they perform far better than the discs lol
EP70-PT
What's the best brake shoes for the EP91 then?
Starlet__SR
Just standard lol. And you'll not get a better handbrake than with drums
morgey
Ep82 axle is narrower. Also just need calipers lines cables ideally want to change the bias valve too. But stock drums are 1000x better they just work lol
EP70-PT
I'll keep the drum then... My main concern was heat when I go to the track...

EP70-PT
You using drums in your "AP91" at the track morgey?? Edited September 11, 2016 by EP70-PT
morgey
No i have discs but theyve been more trouble than they were worth. I've rebuilt them twice and followed colins advise on how to set them up and they still dont work very well. If you are doing lots of track then yes discs are worth while if you can get them to work but be prepared for hassle. My daily corolla still has drums and i wont be changing them as theyre 16 years old and still work spot on with original shoes still.
Foggy
Drums are better for normal every day drive. Rear calipers do very little . I would say 15% of the breaking tops.
Ollieh17
I'd love to know the secret behind getting them to work. Still, why would you want your rear wheels to lock up? Plus drums do better handbrakes

Still, why would you want your rear wheels to lock up?Because drifting, yo. I swapped mine from drums to disks, they were working 100% after the swap but a year after its weakened up

EP70-PT
Got glanza calipers + grooved discs up front... Will leave the rear stock then... Just a service Edited September 11, 2016 by EP70-PT
richardc9052
Yeah stick to drums.. i converted my starlet from disks to drums because i cant be bothered dealing with them. Never had a problem with drums in my last starlet so why would i bother with disks.
