Find one off a car that someone is breaking, one that's been in a crash or something but the engine is still fine.I've also seen a few 4EFTE's on ebay recently.Just make sure they're not burning oil or making any funny noises that they're not supposed to. nic1.3
to answer your question YES u can put in abigger engine but there are several things to considercost- the more mental engine that u want to put in more the more u gotta payhandling/braking- fitting a huge heavy engine will mess up the weight of the front end so will require work in the handling and brakesinsurance engine swap = mega insurance costengine bay size- u only got so much usable space under the hoodnow for what u can fit with the easiest first5efe5efhe4efte/5efte4age whatever version u wantthe MR2 engine i cant remember the mane
Mikey Jay
Swaps I've seen are5efe (1.5 from Toyota Paseo)4efte (1.3 turbo from the Starlet Turbos)'5efte' (a hyrbid of the above engines, making a 1.5 turbo)4age 20v (from the Toyota Levin/Treuno, fair bit of work for this swap though)3sgte (a LOT of work to do this swap though)

Lukey_B
how old are you? 20? isn't an engine conversion going to kill you on insurance?
Mart
As said above mate. You'll have to upgrade your braking and handling mods aswell. No point increasing the ponies if you cant slow the fcuk down...There's a few of us on here thats done conversions but its alot of money lad. Im still adding bits and mine is done for 2yrs now...
