Small update and big change of plan!!

Ive have recieved Paseo dials thanks to Galliano and a flocked dash thanks to Clarkie, aslo my Ram style manifold and decat came today from keith @ zisco for the TD-12,

My change of plan is i have loads of big events next year starting from april time so i have decided to build a forged 5EFTE for my car, i have been mucked about long enough with my other engine so im going with this build at the start of next year when christmas is all passed.

Not really what i had planned but ive spent this much i might aswell spend a little extra and build a forged engine then i never have to worry about reliablility issues.

Pictures to follow of parts and engine build when it starts

next tuesday good for you  im seriously thinking about a 5e aswell. just because ill either be taking my car off the road for ages or i can build up the engine and have it off the road for a little while. are there any wiring issues with a 5efte ? or is it all just the same with diff internals ? because the heads 4efte isn't it ? question time

Errrmmm, sorry im double booked  , Ye im starting to think its the best decision im making with this build.

As far as i know there are none, it just uses the same loom as the 4efte, the only wiring i can think of at this stage is for the new ecu ill need to run one its run in.

Its just the 5E block with 4E head so yeh you could say same with different bottom end.

This things gonna be immense great work mate :(

Thanks man, work will start in January, sourcing more parts first,

So you bought the dash!! I was so close to buying that.

Ye, thought it looked really nice, cant wait to get it all fitted, got some great ideas for interior that no one else has.

This is gonna be one of the best UK Spec Starlets on the site, if not THE best. Best of luck buddy.

Thanks Idrees, thats means alot, ive put so much money and time into this build, hope it all pays off in the end, just so i can have a huge smile on my face,

Demo car for future company is my plans so have to put my all into it.

Also been eyeing up Bride seats as they are on sale just now lol

Small update,

Demo car build has begun!!

It's now in it's new home for a few months, got it in the workshop up relatively high on axle stands.

So far I have taken off front bumper, headlights, indicators, radiator, exhaust, drained all fluids, power steering, everything to get engine out bar mounts, and bonnet.

When engine is out it will be all suspension, fuel tank and lines, brake pipes replaced, underneath painted then off to the spray shop.

Pictures to follow soon

Thanks

Gary
