Ryan5793
get another starlet then maybe an SR this time?
Amjad
I agree with Ryan, try looking for an SR. They're getting a lot cheaper these days, and would be as cheap to run as your old Starlet. Sorry to hear it's kinda died Civics would probably cost quite a bit on insurance, I used to want one before I got into EPs and the cost of running one put me off big time. Same thing with an MX5 really, insurance would be dear at your age.
5T4R7ET N/A
Cant you just replace you gearbox, wouldnt cost too much.Or are you just looking for a change?
anup67
been looking for a while for another starlet, but cant find good 1's, and some a ridulously expensive for what it is...http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1566611.htmits just because theres not many low milage starlets out there, and when one comes up its expensive and i feel like a new car a paseo maybe? Amjad
Aren't Paseo's quite high on insurance too? You've just gotta be patient to find the right car
ste91
Just get another gearbox or another Starlet.1.5 Civics are shit, and insurance is very expensive.
Ryan5793
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1998-TOYOTA-STARLET-...0#ht_500wt_1182keep checking ebay mate, thats what i did and got mine off there
anup67
i just checked, paseo's are insurance group 7 my cars done 92,000 miles now, and im afraid that when i replace the gearbox, something else is gonna go wrong and i dont wanna diesal lol, i like instant power, but i wouldnt mind a golf or a3 1.9 TDI 130, but insurance would kill me
ste91
There's nothing wrong with 92k miles you are worrying over nothing. My Starlet has done 106k miles and all that's wrong is the radiator leaks slightly and it could do with a good service but apart from that it drives fine.Just out of interest what happened to the gearbox? shaneyb
Mate just get an SR. Stop looking at mileage, if a car has been looked after properly and serviced then problems are not likely.

My cars twin's dead Just as I got my alloys too Haha get another starlet mate, seriously, even though 1.6 MK4 golfs ain't bad, they're still group 6, for group 4 I doubt you'd get anything that could really replace your starlet, than another starlet.Shame about the gearbox though bruv, was really lookin forward to our little 5 door meet that'd eventually happen Shafz.
