Amjad
Right so to replace our old MeganeWe just picked up a MK1 Leon Cupra TDi. We were looking for a MK4 Golf GTTDi, but after driving one I was more inclined to go for a Leon, Idrees' recommendation swayed me too lolPretty much mint, it has only 2 previous owners, Full Specialist Service History and is bone stock! Full sports interior, sports suspension, 18" (I think) alloys, and a strong 150 PD TDi engine Apologies for not having more pictures, my brother is being lazy in sending some more over (I'm stuck at uni for a few weeks, haven't even seen it myself lol)Plans are just to make it look a bit more modern, nothing drastic:-8000k 50w HIDs-LED Sidelights-LED Numberplate lights-Full White LED interior lights (Courtesy, Glovebox, Boot & Puddle lights)-Genuine VAG Aero wipers & arms-Genuine Skoda Fabia Rear Aero Wiper-Leon Cupra R Splitter in Gloss Black-Subtle Tints-German style Pressed PlatesI'm going to order the interior LEDs very soon so it will hopefully look like THIS! As far as performance modifications go, they'll be quite a while off, but I'm planning:-Green Panel Filter-Smoothed Airbox with Golf DSG Airbox CAI feed-EGR Delete-Decat/Downpipe-312mm Audi S3/TT 225 Brakes-Sachs Organic Clutch and DMF (when this one goes!)-Remap (A long long way off) Hope you like!Amjad

Looking forward to seeing some little updates mate, make sure you dont get addicted modding this and forget about the Starbo!Hehe there's one more significant-ish mod I'll be doing to the N/A soon, but nothing after that! Any more money I spend on the EPs will be to restore the GT! Probably some next summer, as I'm now a very poor student lolOut of interest and if you dont mind me asking... how much did you part with for it?PM'dlove these, been tempted by one myself recently.Phil.Thanks Phil Awesome cars, trust me you won't be disappointed with this Amjad I hope not! Should be going home sometime around Mid-November now, after I've handed in this horrible essay I'm working on Anyway, first parts are on order:- H3 LED Foglights (basically turns the fogs into slick looking DRLs/Spotlights)-Full LED bulb kit for the Sidelights, Glovebox, Front & Rear courtesy lights, Puddle lights, Boot and Numberplate lightsHere's how it should look something like! And some pics of LED fogs^I'm hoping for the car to look like that last Leon, just need that lip! My fogs should be even brighter too, those have 9 SMD units in each bulb, I have 36 SMD units in each muahaha!Hopefully next parts will be the Fabia rear wiper and HIDs around xmas time Amjad

Amjad
Here's the only recent decent pic my brother took for me ;) You may be able to notice that the aerial is freakin' huge! So I swiftly ordered a genuine Citroen C2 Stubby aerial; 6cm vs 40cm! It's tidgey! My LED Fog spotlights also arrived, I was surprised that each of these small bulbs has 36 individual SMD units!Next thing I'm planning to buy is a new rear wiper to replace the ugly stock item which ruins the rear of the car IMO! I was considering a VW MK5 Golf item:But I've decided on getting this chunky yet smooth Skoda Fabia Estate wiper which I think suits the car better! Should be ordering this soon hopefully!Parts I'm waiting for currently are the HIDs I've ordered, and the LED conversion kit for all the bulbs, that lot should arrive by the end of the week! Now that my horrible assignment is out of the way, I'm hoping to go back home sometime in the next few weeks, get all this stuff on the car and finally drive the thing! Comments and opinions are very much welcome!
anup67
Love it!! LED's look good as an interior light, just make sure you don't get those shit ones that have a blue tint to it tell me how it drives, i really want a GTTDI Golf, i would get one of these but i doubt ill be able to live with not being able to see anything out that rear window (stupid reason i no!)how much did it cost you if you don't mind me askin?Link for that ariel? would look sweet on my MK3Anup

I think they are slightly blue as in Xenon white (6000k), I prefer them like that than the yellowish tinge I've seen from some LEDs! Should look sweet once pretty much every bulb has been replaced with a Xenon white item! Will do man. What about the window? It's fine! lolI am planning to get some parking sensors put in at some point though, just to be careful!I dunno if the aerial will fit, I know it's a direct fit to Leons but here's the link anyway:Stubby C2 AerialI'd recommend either finding out what diameter your screw hole is and go from there, or just buy a universal one which comes with a few screw fixings!simply awesome man!Phil. Thanks Phil! ;)HIDs did arrive today, but they had fat ballasts despite being advertised as having slim ones ;)They're going back for a refund and I've placed an order for another set off Ebay! Raz
Loving them LEDs man, are they allot brighter? Those are the same LEDs that go in starlet foglights? Link me up please!
Amjad
Well I dunno about these, I had 6LED bulbs in the Megane for a while and they were quite bright, the new one's are much more powerful though! I dunno bro they're H3, just type it into Ebay LED with whatever bulb size, but here's those:LED FoglightsThe LED Kit came today! I ordered them last Monday, and they got here from Hong Kong in 11 days! Excellent seller, really good communication and it was very well packaged. Everyone on the Seat Cupra forums recommends this guy for LEDs (so do I), apparently the quality of the bulbs is excellent!Pics! (Ignore the yellow bits, dunno why they're that colour but they do glow xenon white lol)
mk1kurt
remaps on theese are brilliant that should be first on the list dudelook clean and tidy car dude keep the updates rolling kurt
Amjad
Cheers buddy! No way I'd remap it first as much as I'd want to, no fun in the clutch slipping It's done 100k, so when the clutch goes the plan is to replace it with a Sachs Performance Clutch and Dual Mass Flywheel (driven a golf with this and it feels awesome). Then save up for a custom remap with higher torque dialled in as it'll handle it with the uprated clutch
mk1kurt
oh didnt know that ok its prob not wise to run a lot f power threw a slipping clutch lolkurt
Amjad
Yeah I think the standard torque is around 240ft/lb on the PD150 Tdi, which can go to 320ft/lb & 190bhp when reamapped! Just picked up an Uprated Green Panel filter and a spare Airbox half price, which I'll be smoothing and seeing which intake setup is best!Eventually I want to pick up an R32 DSG CAI intake snorkel, which is about twice the diameter of the stock one! It's a tried and tested upgrade for the TDis which should be good ;)Next mod: Skoda Fabia wiper to be ordered from my local VAG dealership Monday morning!
Amjad
Finally got to drive the car on Monday! Such a great car to drive, steering feels nice and weighted, handles pretty well, rides nicely, seats are uber comfy and it's got a really nice build quality. Well happy with the car and would recommend one to anyone! That also means I've finally managed to fit the parts I've been stacking up!Here's the new Green Cotton Panel filter with the spare airbox I'll eventually smooth. Weird that the engine management light was on after I changed the filter but as now disappeared lol probably just the ECU adjusting itself I'm guessing..Much thinner than the old elementAlso two brand new VAG parts; Audi S3 lower arm bar & Skoda Fabia Estate rear wiperUnfortunately didn't get to fit the S3 bar, tried for a good our having squeezed under the car, but to no avail Gonna get it done by a garage on a ramp lolNew vs OldBefore (you may notice I've debadged the rear too, looks much nicer & smoother IMO)AfterNew high power LEDs which look amazing at night (and are bright in daylight hours too!)BeforeAfterCabin BeforeCabin LEDs AfterOld stick vs C2 Stubby aerial lolFittedAnd finally a few proper pics of the car! I do apologise for it being filthy (the wheels don't even look silver and the exhaust tips should be chrome ) but it was raining the two days I was home so didn't get a chance to give it a scrub! Will be doing a nice long detail in the Xmas holidays if the weather holds out for a day! You may also notice the LED numberplate bulbs, which look awesome at night too and are crazy bright! The 55w 8000k Slim HID Kit arrived today at my uni address, gutted I couldn't get it fitted when I went home but oh well, going back in two weeks
Amjad
After seeing Idrees' thread I remembered I haven't updated this in a while Not much has happened, but I've fitted the HID Kit and managed to re-wire the LED Spotlights so they finally work! Only cost a few quid for the bulbs and they're a really nice colour match so I'm happy Two poor phones pics to illustrate lolSidelights + spots onAll lights onStill need to get the S3 lower brace fitted, not being home much doesn't help but that's the next job along with some new tyres, probably Uniroyal Rainsport 2s! Keri-WMS
My lil brother had one of these! Stongest point was the active torque split diff and stability control (has access to the brakes) which means you can take rounabouts faster and at more throttle than anything I've ever been in.If you start understeering the bloody thing moves the torque about at the front and "fiddes" one or more rear brakes to get the back moving round!!!! Feels soooooo wrong! He put it on the rollers and found it made 175bhp......previous owners must have remapped it on the sly, pissed off the BMW 325i lads he'd gone there with.I was looking at doing a brake upgrade for it as he mangled the brakes at the Nurburgring. He fitted Audi alcantara seats with the side airbags etc, and some of the Audi Bose hifi as well. Also found that you can buy bottom (and top?) strut-braces for them from VAG, really cheap.
