Idrees
Went in the garage yesterday and thought I could smell petrol, looked under the car and it was split all over! One of the injectors started leaking.... How damn random?Got that sorted and thought I'd try to start the car, so ran a positive wire straight off the fuel pump to the battery and got it started!! :P
kevink
it isnt a movie mate, and i wanna see and HEAR!
Idrees
Sorry, now edited! Car still idles high though, shall see to that later.
Mikey Jay
Idling high?Have you got a loose hose?Could try resetting the ECU by unplugging the EFI fuse for a few minutes
Idrees
Its been like that since I bought the car, I thought it was the throttle body gasket but I've replaced that and see no difference I think the actual throttle body has gone, its a common problem on these Starlets I think, happened to my brothers old one too. The spring on there is suppose to be tight but its really loose!
Mikey Jay
Upgrade to a 4efte throttle body Then get a dremel and bore out the inlet mani
Idrees
I have a spare 4EFTE throttle body but the sensors are different on it, I think its got a couple of extra sensors so I don't wanna get involved with it!
Mikey Jay
Fair enough.Think the 5efe uses the same throttle body, so you could ask over on paseoclub?
Idrees
Will do that now, Rick thinks he has a 5E one so hes gonna let me know if he finds it

gaz
looking good pal. I think it should be called bananza mix between banana and glanza even though its not a glanza, but it was too good not too mention. lol
Idrees
Cheers ;)Ordered the 98 spec Glanza bumper, the Glanza front grille and a pair of clear indicator lenses, even though I might fit the amber ones for the JDM look. Also expected in the post is the optional Toyota rear lip - a genuine item! Then I want the Glanza sideskirts and optional front splitter, not forgetting some decent wing mirrors = bodywork complete!!Hopefully a nice update tomorrow
