Registered on here a while ago, but it wouldn't let me post for some reason, so I'll try again now!

Don't actually have an EP, but I do have two KP's, one 1980 & one 1984.

Hopefully going to do a few sprints & hillclimbs in the '80 car next year if all goes to plan.

Anyone else on here got a KP, or am I on my own?

Hello mate i reconise that user name you'll remember me when i had this:

I certainly do mate, how are you? Loved that car of yours!

Friend of mine has got a KP30 as well now, so there's three old Toyotas in the same village.

Pics & spec of one of them coming soon, don't have much uploaded of the other one at the moment.

This is my 1980 car, beleived to be an ex Toyota Press car, or so I'm told.

Started life as a 1.2 'S' model, so had a rev counter & fake alluminium dash upgrades over the standard GL version!

DaveandCharlotte420.jpg

Now running a 4k (1290cc) with a few upgrades-high lift Kent cam, big valve springs, ported & polished head, baffled sump, custom 4 branch manifold, TRD inlet manifold.

Rear SD cage, custom springs & uprated gas shocks, Motordrive seat & TRS harness, OZ 13" wheels.

Few bits still need sorting such as a new exhaust manifold as the one I've got is rubbish, custom rear anti roll bar to fit, TRD LSD to fit (both already sat in the shed ready to go on) & few other bits & pieces.

It had been off the road since '97 until I finally got it back on in Feb this year when I drove myself to my wedding in it, hence the picture.

Welcome to the club! Unfortunately there aren't many kp's which is a shame as there awesome! are you on kpstarletclubuk?

Rob

There aren't many KP's anywhere any more, it's not just on here!

kpstarletclubuk? Do you mean the Facebook group, as that's the only other UK based one I know of.

I'm on a couple of Irish ones, a NZ one & kp61.net

The car looks better than it does in that picture (IMO anyway), as that was taken after 30 miles of wet welsh roads in feb, so a bit dirty to say the least by that point.

Have you made any of the Ashby Folville meets this year mate i've missed them but was thinking about booking the day off to make the next one :(

I made it to the first two, but haven't been down since.

It gets so busy there now, you need to be there 4.30-5pm to stand half a chance of getting on the main field!

Might try again for the next one though if you're going over.
