there nowhere really strong enough to bolt it to. only thing u could do is get a bar welded between the rear strut mounts.

it doesnt matter if they arent attached to the bar, aslong as they run over the bar and sit paralell with your shoulders and can slide off the bar, same as normal seat belts are

If traders are going to offer these at some stage will any of them actually load test them and NDT (Non destructive test ie properly inspect any welds) each individual one?

As these will be safety critical components. If one broke in a crash then it's your life at risk so I wouldn't be wanting to buy an item like this that's just knocked up in a shed with no thought put into the design or testing.

This might give you an idea! I can measure the dimensions if it is any help! :D I am pretty sure this bar is within the regulations of the MSA blue book aswell!
