Taggy Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Whats the most i can expect to squeeze out of a td04 on my 5e forge build? Quote
Socks Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 You'll be able to max a td04 out... on a 4e... There good for 260-280bhp...so 5e, prolly a lil more, but a fair bit more torque!Based on a stock td04 of course, as they are so cheap... Quote
lew777 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 300 with the correct supporting mods of course/>http://www.wepracing.com/engine/turbo-a-manifolds/turbo-kits-and-upgrades/wepr-hybrid-td04-kit Quote
templar2007 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 My mate was running 270 you will not get much more Quote
wickedep Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 there is a lad from the netherlands (Erik) that made 285whp on his fully built 5E with our hybrid td04 kit. there was another lad over at tggt.com some time ago that managed 292bhp (or something like that)..but i cant remember his user name. on 4e+stock td04L's we usually average around 275-280bhp (+/- small amount)..on a 5e..it wont make too much horsepower over the 4e..but definitely more torque which is nice.but Lew is correct..300 should not be very hard on a 5e+stock td04L Quote
Burny Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Tuning developments regularly make 280bhp out of forged 4E's @ 1.4 bar so expect more than that, although in my opinion i would sell the TD04 and pick up a TD05, there reasonably cheap like the TD04 and for say £50 u will see an extra 30-40bhp Quote
Taggy Posted March 28, 2012 Author Posted March 28, 2012 Yeah i'll have a stab at the TD04 for a while then, i will no doubt enjoy the spool time, i heard on a 5e its about 2.5k full boost Management and injectors next before i get ahead of my self! Quote
Socks Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Burny... wont be much more power from a 5e... it'll be the troque figure thats bigger...s314kba.co.uk/leaderboardlots of results to sift through there taggy... Quote
Burny Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Im sure i read on here somewhere before that 5E's give an extra 40bhp lol that was obviously someone talking crap lol Quote
hough39 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I made 280bhp at 1.4bar that's with cams etc on td04 Quote
pockrockgtti Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I have a td04 on my forged 5e, i have a standard spec 4e head, with 5efhe cams fitted. At 1.4bar boost i make a healthy 252hp at the wheels. Quote

Taggy Posted March 28, 2012 Author Posted March 28, 2012 How much boost can i safely run on a forged motor with stock head? Quote
pick1 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I'd say roughly 1.5 mate before the heads begins to hold u bk mate Quote
Taggy Posted March 28, 2012 Author Posted March 28, 2012 when you say the head holds you back, is this due to the valve springs? Quote
_shaun_ Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 the valve springs restrict the rev limit more than power from the turbo i think.am going to pick up a td05 for mine time i get it maped be cheaper in the long run to just get the turbo at the same time the engines done Quote
