dangeestarlet Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 just wondering what al0l your n/a's will pull through each gear, why i ask is mine used to do about 58 in 2nd 85 in 3rd and 110 in 4th and do 120 in 5th, and i been fiddling about and i went out tonight and it feels allot faster and now pulls around 65 in 2nd 90 in 3rd and 115 in 4th and about 125 in 5th, strange i know Quote
Bildo Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 What exactly do you mean by "fiddling about"?More likely to be cold air more than anything. Quote
dangeestarlet Posted October 1, 2012 Author Posted October 1, 2012 well i advanced the timing abit and changed a pipe on the throttle body Quote
dangeestarlet Posted October 1, 2012 Author Posted October 1, 2012 just a corolla manifold and advanced the timing abit, i find its much faster with standard airbox and standard backbox on, it feels sluggish with backbox and filter :/ Quote
morgey Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Unless you change the rev limit or gearbox the speed in each gear should always stay the same unless you never hit the rev limiter before,My old one used to to 35 62 85 115 and i had 118 max but that was stock. Quote
dangeestarlet Posted October 1, 2012 Author Posted October 1, 2012 well its happened, il make a video tommorow to show you all Quote
TRD King Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Should this really be in an open forum where anyone (even police officers) could see? Quote
raffa_mk Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Open forum it is, but who's to say where it's been done? Private road / land? Or even on track? Quote
ryan lang Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Should this really be in an open forum where anyone (even police officers) could see?it is Quote
morgey Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Theres an empty runway less than 2 miles from my house Quote
morgey Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 well its happened, il make a video tommorow to show you allThen your speedo has become less accurate somehow. Changed wheels maybe?Try it with a satnav as see what the difference is, my corolla is 10% out so 100mph is actually only 91 lol my starlets not as bad but its still out Quote
dangeestarlet Posted October 1, 2012 Author Posted October 1, 2012 nopee, still got 13s on it, il have to try a satnav tommorow Quote
StarletSr? Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 My old one used to to 35 62 85 115 and i had 118 max but that was stock.Thats pretty much the same as mine! Quote
Jamie1st Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Should this really be in an open forum where anyone (even police officers) could see? What does his top speed in each gear have to do with the police? lol..Could be on a dyno, private land, track, German autobahn etc Quote
Billy SR Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 i had 119 out of mine with a corolla inlet, k&n panel filter and remus backbox, but that was downhill and she weren't budging anymore! Quote
rob_bower Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Are these actual speeds or going off the clocks? As the clocks can be miles out. Quote
rob_bower Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 You don't get the limits of 4th and 5th but gives you an idea. />http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/rob_bower/?action=view¤t=796790af.mp4 Quote
morgey Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Mine was clocks, the book speed on a starlets about 106-7mph so if mine did 118 that probably isn't wrong in all fairness Quote
PaulStarletSR Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 my old black SR bounced on the limiter in 2nd around56-57 mph, fuck knows in 3rd cant rmember, 100+ in fourth and on a flat road with no wind done 116mph with revs to spare and i was runnin induction, decat and TTE backbox with full interior Quote
iamlegend Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 my n/a did 177mph and I only had a halfords induction kit and flamer kit Quote
WalshslaW Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 my n/a did 177mph and I only had a halfords induction kit and flamer kitdown hill....with a 60 mph wind behind you...being towed Quote
