hughes21
Thought I'd start a build thread so i can always look back on what I've done. I brought my glanza last week it's a white 96 with optional lips , wind deflectors and a few other bits ! It doesn't have an engine though haha ! Some of you will know the car or recognise it of here as its already had a build thread and I wish it still looked the same haha, it's Peter Abbots old glanza I didn't buy it of him but name on logbook etc and found his old thread. Got a few goodies for it already but now mainly trying to source an engine for it . It's a mint shell and I can't wait to start building it up.Il post up some photos of the car and its progress tomorrow as I'm on my phone .Thanks joe !! Picked up a boot for £50 and some jdm reflet rear lights for only £40 in good condition...Pic of old bootlid.New bootlid and rear lights :Cleaned out the bits behind the lights befor fitting them :Just needs some headlights now to finish off the exterior for the time being and wheels but there last on the list of what i need - so anyone with a mint set of headlights for sale let me no !!This is how the car used to look got a long way to go haha !One day it will look as mint as it used too haha, all comments welcomeCheers joe

hughes21
Long time since I updated this not much has changed but been collecting some bits for the car !! Took a trip to Abbots house a while back and picked up a few bits including headlights , battery flywheel just little bits and bobs that were needed !Was happy with the headlights only payed £70 an there in a fair condition !!Pic fitted Told abbot I needed an engine and he said buy mine so I did so back in December I went and brought it got around 50,000 on the clock and generally a clean engine so was well happy )Still got to put the cam covers on and a few other little bits and give it a tidy up The day after I brought the engine I took a trip up to Sicaln and brought this greddy intercooler kit with blitz dump valve which ive changed for a hks ssqv series 3 but for £200 the kit was a steal !!Needed to get a fmic kit and this was a bargain and doesn't come up too bad when polished has a few dents underneath but not noticeable behind the bumper A Freind of abbot had these wheels for sale that used to be on his glanza and I loved them when he sent through some pics I had to have them !!There jdm b.im wheels not seen anyone with them before and wanted a set of nice wheels that no one really has can't wait to get them fitted Brought these nuts to go with them , people say there no good but my brother has used them on his v now for over a year with no problems !Just after Christmas I got in touch with iddy and got an excedy stage 2 organic sports clutch didn't want a paddle so this was ideal and will be able to cope with the power il be running I've got a zisco ram horn td04 manifold externally gated one , got the turbo just need a downpipe and tial external wastegate and the lines I'm hoping to get the engine in This weekend as I've now sorted engine mounts Still got quite a bit to buy but only being 18 and not earning that much it's a struggle but want to get it on the road on the next 2 months or so have missed a few bits that I've brought but howpfully I can soon start uploading some decent pics of the car and how it's looking Thanks joe

Yeah the shell is very clean - yeah wasn't planning on getting one yet but both my brothers have them and I couldn't wait haha I only paid £500 for the car and every time I get paid at the end of the month it goes on bits for it haha ! But I'm working hard so it will be worth all the money I've spent at the end of it I hope !!

hughes21
Got a lot done since I last updated this and the car is nearly ready now jut a few small bits to do and finish off I had everything I needed to put the lump into the car so one night me and a mate built up the engine in my garage so it was ready to be dipped in Next day engine was dropped in with no troubles at all done it outside m house on axle stands haha Picture of the bay Just need to put a few pipes on and a rad fan and also battery !Had my hks ssqv welded into the hard pipe as it had a blitz one in that I wanted to replace Brought this fpr kit with braided hoses of Simon which I was really happy with and also looks pretty good on also got a walbro pump of him and a starter motor which were all spot on !I've brought a fair bit for it the past couple of months now including , downpipe , apexi exhaust , poly engine mounts , grooved discs with green stuff pads and braided brake lines , walbro fuel pump , various bits and bobs that were needed !! Pic of the front of the car - was happy how the greedy fmic sits as I didn't have to chop the bumper to much only on the back where it's not noticeable , getting the bumper on was a tight squeeze but I didn't want to be cuttin the optional lip Pic of the car from the side - today I got my bc coilovers on and it's sitting really nicely and looks sweet with the wheels and new nuts, also got the brakes all bled up I'm hoping all I have to do now is engine oil, gearbo oil, coolant and put the battery on , I also need to put the mid section of exhaust on but if needs changing slight so going to do it ina. Ramp when is insured Got someone coming down to re join the ecu wires as when the car was stripped abbot cut the ecu wires out and never re joined them ;) As you can see a couple of wires have been cut but as soon as there all re joined fingers crossed she starts up Comments welcome !!
