jordan walker
Cheers guys got a bit done this weekend but not as much as I would have likedCut the plates out for the mirrorsThe dremmel dug in and jumped and made a mess of the job on the first go so had to start again 🙈 Had a quick test fit to see what they were likeAnd then glued the backing plates onWhile the sikaflex was out I stuck them winglets on my bumper aswellI couldn't put the mirrors or canards on while I was waiting for the sikaflex to dry so Hopefully I will be able to get up one night this week and finish the job off and get a picture of the finished product

jordan walker
Well it's been on the road for a while now I've done 1000 miles now so it's all ran in Here's a few pictures I've gathered from the time it's been on the roadAs you can see I have already done a trackday in it and had her on the rollers 😂🙈 did well on the trackday but didn't do too great on the rollers though if I'm honest the sard Ecu isnt fueling the ecu very well at all so it is going to have to be mapped which is a good thing because it means big power for me but its also a bad thing as I haven't got a penny to scratch my arse with and have ran into loads of other faults 🙈 apparently with this wilwood 3G brake kit my ball joint now touches the disc on the passenger side so I don't have a clue what that's all about bit far fetched if you ask me but anyway that needs sorting and there's just generally shady noises coming from the front of the car which I am assuming are coming from either the driveshafts or coilovers as there is nothing else that it could be 😏 and the rear brakes and handbrake have took it upon themselves to not work so they need sorting aswell but apart from all that it seems okCouple of pictures of the mark the ball joint has left on the disk and how close it is and one below of how far out the shaft sits on the drivers side on the OEM lsd box :s Edited May 6, 2015 by jordan walker

Calum122
You will always get different readings with different rollers. 220 is still a very good figure Standalone is where its at....if you've got the money. Really nice to see you build something and use it properly on the track. So many people think that my Starlet is 'chavey' just because they see boy racers on the streets in the Saxo's. They don't seem to understand that proper enthusiasts take it to the track. I mean sure the odd blip here and there is natural. But yeah, nice to see it on the track. Looking great as well. Loving the front end, nice and unique.

Calum122
Same rollers? I thought I read it was 230 bhp earlier? Seems odd to have lost that many ponies. Aye, I like the heads the cars turn, when I'm far enough away from my home. Don't like people looking at it near home, paranoid!

Don't like people looking at it near home, paranoid!Yeah it's because its a different Ecu mate it was a jam to start with and now it's a sard I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and take it down to TD and get an emanage shot on it I recon and hopefully make the 300 ponys I've been wanting for the last two and a half years lol
Calum122
Right sorry. Amazing what difference the ECU will make. I think 300 is ridiculous for these cars, dare I say too much?
jordan walker
Dunno lol never experienced anymore than 230 haha so I suppose I'll have to find out 😝
jordan walker
Well not much of an update but I'm lazy and can never be bothered to do any work so... I had my car on some scales the other week and these where the numbers it madeThat was with £30 of shell v power in but I still wasn't very impressed considering the amount I've stripped out but like my mate pointed out I do have a full cage and them brides are recliners on recaro rails so there's weight to be had there plus the fact my fibreglass bonnet isn't on but hey ho Other than that I sold the sard Ecu and the old girl is booked into tuning developments on the 27th and I'm not going to back out this time haha so hopefully the car will be about 300 ponys fingers crossed so hopefully if all goes to plan I'll be a happy bunny in a couple of weeks and posting pictures of my dyno figures 😄
Gainzy
It's the price of those wing mirrors weighing it down lol looks great man bonnet should take a good 10kg off that can always take the passenger seat out for track times, good choice selling the SARD ecu couldn't see it doing a better job than the dyno session map good luck
abbott
Looking good buddy. What did you do with ball joint issue? I have also had this problem when i changed my ball joints to new pattern and new toyota ball joint and still does it ended up grinding a little bit off the ball joint.
jordan walker
Tbh mate I haven't done anything about it yet I'm just going to grind some of the ball joint away ive been told that genuine ones solve the issue but if you've tried them and it's a no go then obviously that doesn't work niether And lmao gainzy the extra weight deffinately isn't in my wallet after buying them mirrors 😂 and yeah the sard was always just temporary thing until I could afford a map I can't wait I'm like a kid at Christmas 😃
jordan walker
Got all my parts to fit my oil cooler now so that will be getting done tomorrow night hopefully with a cheeky oil and filter change and fit my boost controller aswell after that she will be about ready to go down to Mike next weekend ???? excited now

jordan walker
Always wanted an oil cooler they look class how much was it all? TD is a nice drive down even better coming back Yeah they look mean as fuck when they're sticking out of the grill can't wait to see what it looks like 😈Price isn't as bad as you would think if you buy all the bits seperate it works out cheaper than buying a ready made kitAnd tbh I'm not looking forward to the drive down there off boost all the way down and in a completely stripped car it will be a proper shit drive lol but the drive home might be a bit different
jordan walker
Little update got the oil cooler and boost controller fitted ready for TD on Saturday and I finaly got round to fitting my bonnet Oil cooler doesn't sit quite as low as I wanted it to but im still fairly happy with it And my generous friend knoxy was a little babe and made me a big daft splitter when he made his and I somehow managed to get my girlfriend to help out with the painting Hopefully get the time to fit it tomorrow night if not Wednesday and then give it a wash before the long drive down on Saturday
jordan walker
Well I went up to the garage last night and fitted the splitter quite happy with how it looks knoxy had a pop up and helped me fit it and we were quite impressed with the results i now have quite an evil looking front end
