Dan B
Picked up my new starlet a few weeks ago, a 99 Glanza v so I may aswel start my build thread now, I brought it from a guy in Bolton who'd imported it himself but didn't really use it. It was standard apart from the alloys and a greddy turbo timer First thing I did was lower it because it looked stupidly high so I fitted some tein 57mm lowering springs which gave me about 40mm dropI drove it like that for a week or so and decided I didn't like the wheels I couldn't decide wether to sell them or not so I took them off the other day and sprayed them white for now, look better imoAlso fitted a hks ssqv with the help of Dean Rogers (RW developments) who welded a larger diameter piece of tubing onto my so that it would fit without a reducer hoseThe cars paintwork had the usual hazy finish so I tried some t cut on the rear bumper and it came up niceI managed to get the whole car done and waxed aswel today I'm nackered but it was worth it it looks ten times better I also fitted an air filter, decat pipe, a hks actuator and a boost gauge. I set it to 0.8 bar but with the cold weather it did fuel cut and the eml came on so I've set it slightly lower and it's ok now and pulls harder than it did I have a blitz nurspec s backbox which Dean R is making me a 2.5" cat back system for so that's my next mod ill put some pics and a video up when it's on, any comments apreciated I'm wondering what mods to do next to increase performance, thanks for looking
starletburkie
uprated mani, front mount and air filter relocated to front bumper for more power then maybe fcd and fpr or piggyback ecu set up and set the boost to 1.0 bar

Josh@TunerLifestyle
real smart V! what are your plans for it?
Dan B
Thanks mate, plans are a set of dc coilovers which a mate is holding onto for me and some different alloys (anyone want to swap?) and I want to td04 it later on when I can afford to have it set up properly but for the near future it's a 2.5" system with no boxes and a blitz nurspec backbox, and as soon as funds allow I definitely want a front mount. It's a slow process ain't it I'm sure we all have big shopping lists

Dan B
Just a quick update I went and had the wheels aligned today today after noticing the tyres wearing on the outside edge, the one wheel was out by 7 degrees! Also gave the wheels a good cleanHopefully I'll be sorting my 2.5" system this weekend pics to follow
Dan B
Took the car up to RWDevelopments yesterday to get my exhaust sorted out and I've gotta say I'm really pleased with it I can't speak highly enough of Dean hes sound bloke and the quality of his work is second to none. This is how it looked with the standard systemWhich we removed from the decat backDean then set about fabricating the new system from the decat pipe, I chose to have it 2.5" stainless with no boxes and a nurspec backbox Comparison of the new and old systemThen he removed the old end from the backbox and welded a new flange on Once it was made up it was all removed and welded up properly, here's how the new box looks I'll get a better pic tomorrow when it's light When I first fired it up I was pleased because its not stupidly loud and it's very deep and growls, driving home from tamworth to wolverhampton I opened it up and it sounds very agressive and bangs and flames It's fuel cutting high up in the rev range on full acceleration now but the weather isn't helping...I'll upload a video tomorrow of the sound I've also fitted a filterAnd a hks ssqvI have to stick a picture of deans car up because I love it lolThanks for looking video to follow Edited December 24, 2012 by Dan B
