5efe cams

Are the 5efe cams the same as 4efe ones as I have a set lying about and wondered if they would a difference to performance in my n/a?

5efe ones are the same as 4efe its the 5efhe cams you need for any sort of gains

my understandin is the 5e cams r different as I've had both side by side and they r noticably different and I've also been told that theyll make a difference in my 4efte me n dave have built for the SR

See, I thought that after looking at your thread! Surely they have to be slightly higher lift because the 5e stroke is longer? That was my logic to it anyway, maybe someone can point me in the correct direction

accordin to ma pal whos probably the most knowlegable on all these sites, it does aid acceleration hence y i hav them

after actually having tried them all, the 5efe and 4efe ARE the same

but the 5efhe are the better ones as they do have higher lift and slightly more duration

when applied to a 4efte there ARE differences as they have been tried and tested on a glanza a friend has and hes adament there IS a difference

u dont need to act smart by bringin me the facts when I've got them here mate, my 5e cams r DEFO different to the 4e 1s as I've had them in my hands then in2 the engine when it was bein built (check my thread)

if you've got the facts you'd know the 4efe 4efte and 5efe are the same

and that the 5efhe cams are the different/better ones

also just because your friends adament theres a difference doesnt mean there is. like ricers who fit big airfilters and claim there 0-60 is down by a second

im not acting smart im just telling it how it is, ive also had 5efe cams and 5efhe cams in my old n/a

Im suprised that the fte uses the same as the n/a's you would have thought that they would be a different because its for turbo aplication.

But i guess its not exacty a hi performance engine in stock form :/

the lift doesnt need to be any different because of the difference in pistons and compression

hes tested them enough times to know.

and everyone knows that on a 1l corsa the 0-60 times r slashed by an easy 2.5secs

In the 5E there are the same cams as in the 4E. The FHE are better and more sturdy cams.

Remember that only the 1993-1995 5efhe had.the.high lift cams, all the rest had same cams.profiles.although.lots of different partnumbers. Can a mod ppease clean this thread to reflect facts only
