Beastmode panda Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 Right, needing some help now as i'm one step closer to taking the power steering off! Has ANYBODY got a picture of where the line needs to be looped please? Can someone put up a clear picture of where i need to loop it on the rack pwetty please. I've looked everywhere, on here, tgtt, youtube and google searched it too but i can't find any tutorials or anything. Cheers in advance. Quote
morgey Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 This is all i did, if you can see it, just a random bit of pipe with a couple of clips. Its the loop over the steering gaitor on the drivers side Quote
steve-gers Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Is that the only bit you need to loop and the rest of the system gets flung away? I will also be taking mine off as it feels far far better on the road with it disconnected. Quote
morgey Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Mines been like that for 5 years now. I would say use a longer bit of pipe as mines slightly kinked and im not a fan of the steering on my car, not sure if thats anything to do with it or if i need a new rack lol Quote
steve-gers Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I ran without a belt for a month or as I took aircon off (ages ago) and it felt so much better when I was driving fast. Parking was a bit harder but no point being a wuss! Quote
Beastmode panda Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 Morgey i have literally no idea where i'm looking bud? Can you circle it? Is this it? And the bit outlined in blue are the pipes i need to loop?? Quote
morgey Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 On my phone atm so no lold ill try later, but yea i would say them two hard metal pipes that come out just need looping. Quote

Damnit lol, i THINK i can see it though! Only thing is, on the pic i put up the metal lines go to a T piece with the bolt holding it on... So if i was to cut the lines in half to loop the side on the right... What do i do with the open lines on the left? Loop them too or? Quote
morgey Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Phones on 1% batt dude lolIm not sure urs is different to my rack, id check with some1 with the same rack as you. Quote

Beastmode panda Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 Nice that helps a fair bit! Do you have a pic from a bit further out so i can locate it a bit better with other stuff around the engine dan? Quote
morgey Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Thats the same as mine, the silver thing in the back ground has two vacuum lines to the inlet mani. Quote
daniel_g Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Like dis...Just above the off-side of the tank the other to the pump. rack there will be two pipes, one runs to the tank the other one goes to the pump. Cant quite mind, but anyway i think you just run a braided loop here.... Quote
