TrisK Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 More precise boost controlNo creapScreamer noise Quote
Mike@TD.co.uk Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 External gives better, and more consistant boost control. Also gives the screamer pipe, which is probably why most people choose this route! If the noise of a screamer isn't to your taste, it can be recirculated into the exhaust and will sound no different to an internally gated setup. Cheers Mike JonesTuning Developments Ltd Quote
pick1 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I'm internal but going external waste gate for the benifit of no boost creep as that is no1 fucking annoying and no2 can shaft your engine if running td04 and it creeps to high Quote

pick1 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I must be unlucky then cuz mine creeps when it's cold lol Quote
Liam_D Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Yeah main reason most people run them on CT9s is too prevent boost creeping issues. And also for the noise. Ive been externally gated for about a year now and i wouldnt go back to internal gate anytime soon. Quote

project82 Posted January 30, 2013 Author Posted January 30, 2013 Awsum!!! Tdo4 external it is !!!! Sick!! With the sick ass screamer!! Quote
akyakapotter Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 wats mot like with a screamer pipe?? screamer pipe will not open on idle need to be up to boost pressure of the spring. so as long as its not blowing should be fine Quote
AdamB Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Theres no real advantage tbh, it all depends on the design of the turbocharger turbine housing and wastegate. Quote
