Kim tech Plug&play ECU

Right..
I bought the KIm tech ECu from SD075 for a small price.

I know i didnt do much but i think its rare and i needed it in myn small collection.
Ive opend the ECU to and cant see any extra chips so maybe its only stickers they put on it in Japan?

All the research ive done... Suggests there needs to be another board i nthe ECU however Ive opened a HRF unit I have here for a mk1 GT and it doesnt have an extra board... I need to try it in a mk1 gt turbo to test to see if it gets rid of the limits the stock one has! :s

Thats what i was thinking.

But the last owner said it still have the fuel cut.

Now i want to try it on my own engine but i still have a stock manifold and stock cat.

Dont want to blow up my engine!

Edit: Last owner also said it stinks very rich on idle.

Generally the plug n play ecus do the following...

Remove Speed Limiter

Remove Fuel Cut

Raise the Rev Limiter

Tweaked Tuning

Ive never heard of an ECU doing 1 or some of them they all tend to do them all....

Wouldnt make sense if it only did one of the 4...
Better try finding someone who is willing to try this ECU out.

Socks, what is the difference between the GT P&Ps then, why is that HRF one MK1 specific ? I had no idea until ryan, whitenoize, had mentioned it.

Mk1s have slightly different wiring to the ecu
