Coolant?

Just a quick one guys, with the date to do my TD04 conversion fast approaching ordering the last few bits now.

Just wondering what coolant everyone recommends running? Toyota OE stuff?? As obviously when fitting the new civic rad im gonna do a full flush and refill.

Toyota will stock it.

I used 3L but added 3L water to have 50/50 mix.

That was a complete empty engine with 3 core rad though, for reference. Also no matrix.

Stock rad takes just over 2.5litres iirc, so 4 should be enough :-)

I think its only £20 for 5 litres of toyota red pre mixed coolant

Toyota red last year wasn't too expensive, this year I went and they wanted a fortune!!

So this year I've been using red coolant from my local motor factors and mixing it with water 50/50. (Make sure it's the red stuff and not pink or blue)
