How do i get chatter???

Not sure how i can get turbo chatter instead of just dump valve tiss haha??

Take vac off dump valve block it up = chatter

Isnt great for the turbo as the bov is there to empty the pipes after the tb closes. Chatter is the air backing up and trying to stall the compressor blades. It also ads lag to the turbo. But sounds good haha

What dv is on there ? Take it off and block it up may still be opening a bit.

Its a hks ssqv dv and i also have a hks sponge filter, would tht make it quieter instead of the turbo being meshed?

Plus was no dump valve noise so dont think it was still opening

Yeah will be quieter with a filter is your his adjustable if so make adjust it to its stiffest setting so there's no way of it opening

Cud i put tights over end of my turbo as i dont have mesh atm then block dv

No do not do that mate it will just suck it in and then you will have all kind of problems leave the filter on mate

Take your dv/bov off n throw it in the bin As for lag running no bov is couple of tenths quicker flat out driving. don't worry about damage most turbo's fail due to over speed.

Filter will have no effect on noise.

Im sooo not going to get into the great chatter debate again lol. So we can all agree to disagree with the does it doesnt its i get board arguing points that have been covered hundreds of times on here. And i dont see how you cant see the lag difference. I've ran no bov and its instantly noticeable when driving. But meh its not my car lol.

I was under the impression that on such a small turbo as the CT9, then it wasn't really an issue to have chatter (there being a good supply of CT9s knocking about helps too).

Some people say it does no damage others say it does if you look at it theoretically it is putting stress on the turbo, however So many people run without one and without any troubles it's debatable, I don't have mine on and haven't since I went td05 its damaged nothing, I'd have mine on but need it tig welded onto intercooler first.

Some turbos are louder than others depending on wheels and sizes. They have different sound and levels of sound.

You can make it back spool by just releasing your foot slowly rather than backing right off the throttle and still keep your bov. So you have best of both worlds!

Why do all the big boys at MLR sprint series,time attack and hillclimb run no bov if is that laggy?

So it could just be my td04 doesent give off much chatter noise and unless i change my turbo i wont get any :/ ?

It's stalling the turbo, creating the 'chatter' as its in affect blocking it
