jimjam Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Any ideas as why it would be doing that? It's not leaving oil on the floor and its not chucking it out my turbo? So need some possible theory's lol cheers guys Quote
daniel_g Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 More than likely one of these,PCVRingsTurboLeaks Quote
shorty Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Valve stem seals, is it putting out blue smoke atal? If not it could be heading into the water system? If its using it, it must be going some where. Quote
jimjam Posted June 12, 2013 Author Posted June 12, 2013 Stem cells done about 5-6months ago :/ and no it's not chucking out blue smoke buddy Quote
jayc-glanza17 Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 do you see any visible traces of oil?might be a seal that's gone Quote
AdamB Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 If it's not chucking any smoke out it must be a leak.I would bet its a crank seal as they are sealed at both ends really, although if it was gearbox end your clutch would be slipping. Try pulling the bottom timing cover off and check in there if nothing else is visible from the top end Quote
Broony Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 (edited) chucking it out your turbo? turbo oil seals? does it chuck smoke out on boost? check oil for water contamination? like others have said leaky seals Edited June 12, 2013 by Broony Quote
morgey Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 O ring on the dipstick is another one. Look around the wishbone/driveshaft on the drivers side see it looks wet. Quote
rinseep82 Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Rings?? Maybe letting oil in and burning up was a common fault on the celicas a lot went back on recall Quote
TurboTobz Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 If it's a leak try checking the engine block wishbone and underside of the car you'll soon see black shit stuck to your pride and joy. Quote
jimjam Posted June 13, 2013 Author Posted June 13, 2013 Lol I've only just replaced an engine haha guess it time to save up for forging haha Quote
JonnyOk Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Oil return/feed? Could be clogged. You got a catch tank? Quote
jimjam Posted June 17, 2013 Author Posted June 17, 2013 Yeah I do have a catch can but only a trickle of oil in it really :/ but I've got no leaks that I can see so either new engine is soon to go bang or its a super duper mystery lol Quote
