dangeestarlet Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 As above thinking of turboing my sr but on the 4efe lump? Bad idea or can it be done running low boost? Quote
Chris Green Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Yeah, it has been done, I think Tuning Developments did one. Quote
AdamB Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Has been done many times. Need to swap a few things over and sort a bit of wiring. They go well from what I've heard. Quote

PaulStarletSR Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 I've got 4efte pistons and rods for sale, ul need them too Quote
Xpect Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Decat isn't needed but some sort of engine Management is.Well, I wouldn't drive without a cat because just throwing it out is easy. Compensating for having one is more fun and more respectable. Also I want to at least a bit spare the environment.Hope you understand me, wasn't sure with some words. Quote

rmsnoel Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I've got 4efte pistons and rods for sale, ul need them tooYou dont need to change any engine internals but you will neef management. Google 5efe turbo and youll find plenty of info but emange blue is your easiest option Quote
daniel_g Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Think my next starlet project will be converting / turbo'ing an N/a. To add to the list i'd imagine an uprated or FTE ignition system. Quote
morgey Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Run on about 0.5 bar boost the stock internals are fine. One of the companies on here had done it, was about the same speed/slightly quicker than a stock glanza.Might have changed injectors and valve springs and on an emanage iirc Quote
daniel_g Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 And you'll need an FTE sump + pickup aswell i reckon. FTE inlet, vac rail, TB, fuel rail, injectors, FPR. Quote
