Ep'd
Why buy an aftermarket front strut brace when the black oem one does the job? A bit confused as to this.
daniel_g
For looks and added JDM points and shit. Think the OEM one is sound tbh.
Addymk2
Always confused me too. Especially considering those floppy ended things aren't nearly as stiff. I think it's just down to JDM bling.

Pretty much all aftermarket ones will be much stiffer than the stock one, it has a very thin wall tube with pathetic thin welds onto the end plates, the adjustable plates on the likes of a cusco are solid once bolted down. Grab the stock one and give it a good shake - it will flex easily, a cusco or similar won't. Edited July 10, 2013 by WallaceGlanza

Toyota put millions into design so it must be good?Like the rear 3 point brace which is amazing!Might get the oem one chrome plated
rob_bower
Under normal load it will be fine but if your seriously abusing it sighing stiffer would be better. But there are plenty of other things I'd buy first.
Addymk2
Theres a test on youtube somewhere with the cusco ones. I think UltraRacing did it. Might be stiff in your hand but that's about it. On a proper Jig which replicated extreme loads on the suspension turrets theyre like elastic bands.
Fozzie
May as well just weld some box section between the turrets, that'd do the job
Glanza Mac
Cusco Carbon fibre strut brace... JDM, Lighter and still strong Rob.
