Cheers dude! 8)

Been scoping out rear LSDs, rear axle swaps, ae86 5 adjustable link kits, rear disc brake conversions and other brace / chassis mods :)

Hopefully get something pretty cool sorted in the next while.

Not a lot happning with this at the moment. I have a replacement FE here to swap in, just need to find some time.

Went a blast up the woods recently, its such a laugh, and on the roads its really in its elememt.

Also got a couple KGs taken off an OEM flywheel, will fire it on when im changing engines. Its already revs pretty quick due to the short ratio box so it'll be interesting to see the difference.

Also gonna have to get another set of front tyres soon, quite a bit of camber wear on the inside edge of my NS2R after just under 4'000 Kms. Think i'll give R888r a try next.

So before i had a chance to swap engines this happened haha.

20160813_072128_zpsgenu2ljh.jpg

And yet again oil sprayed onto the exhaust manifold heatwrap and a wee fire broke out. Luckily i keep a few bottles of water in the car for such occasions.. caught it early and the only visable damage is the protective coat around the MAP sensor wiring has melted slightly.

In the meantime i'll be driving this about.

20160814_095636_zpsfjcdkdjj.jpg

That Glanza shell i have will be getting stripped right down for its wiring loom etc to convert this :)

And back to the 4paw, im thinking build a high comp forged motor up, wind the boost up to 1.4bar on this new TD04, standalone, supporting mods and say hello to 280bhp.

Yes without a doubt, the 4paw will be getting a good few decent parts that nobody has done to one as far as im aware.. 8)

But in the meantime / winter that shitey sportif will do the job.

The 4paw has never seen a winter in my ownwrship so far, keeping it off the road is the only way its gonna progress :D

Genuinely love those three spokes.

I hate them. I hate the sportif too. Pulled a decent night shift (4am type shit, outside rolling about the deck) to change the engine in the sportif, now got a weak spark / non start.

Can see this being turbo converted very soon. Got most of the parts there.

Ended up scrapping that N/a after not very long, it was a terrible daily, in every way! Went and got a legacy saloon.. then got a wagon again 8)

Havent forgot about the 4paw though! Bought some forged rods and pistons for it, will be collecting the rest of the parts in a bit. Pistons are wiseco 74.5mm, and went for Maxspeeding rods, the engine builder im gonna use swears by them. Will be going for a 0.5mm HG and ARP headstuds not bolts :)

A 4paw welded rear diff, solid prop piece and front CVs came up for sale nearby so had to go get them haha.. thinking put the solid prop in which removes the viscous coupling, and fire the welded diff in, this should give me 50/50 power split.. and probably very poor handling, and 2 broken halfshafts :/ Or i could take the front shafts out and have it RWD.. although i will 100% die, especially when its forged and the TD04 is at 1.4bar :D

I've also bought the GT shell which won TOTB twice a couple of years ago, theres a few bits on which i might switch onto the 4paw ;)

Havent updated this in a long time!

So after blowing up a few engines in various catastrophic ways i decided after nearly 4 years of 4paw ownership it was time to get a forged engine built 8)

Cuthill Engineering built 4EFTE

Mild headwork, polish / skim

ARP headstuds

0.5mm metal headgasket

Blocked decked

Wiseco 74.5mm pistons

Maxspeeding rods / ARP bolts

ARP main studs

Lightened flywheel

All components weighted and balanced

Plus all new Toyota gaskets / oil / water pump etc

It works out a higher spec than Race Tech or TD stage 3 engines.

Removed the old blown engine and swapped over my exedy 3 puk clutch, refit gearbox and transfer box.

Barely ran it in and took a run upto Crail for Banzai in May... did two runs, both of which i fucked it into 2nd gear... needing to get used to the lightened flywheel. Paired with the short ratio box it revs like a fuckin superbike.

Sweet can I buy it back at the same price now lol. Looking good though. Mate of mine just bought a forged v and I'm fighting off the starlet bug at the moment haha.

Best i can do is give you a shot of it haha!

I am yet to get the benefit of this forged engine, 0.6 bar on a TD04 is fuck all for it.

Awesome work dude good to see a 4paw that actually gets used

Cheers dude! Well i use it when its running!

Fuck knows where all the 4paws are.

Ok deal. BOOST UP lol

I dont drive as far as that in it, i just dodge about Stirling or the odd trip to crail. Try to avoid motorways aswell, as sitting at aleast 5K RPM in 5th is no fun.

Give me a shout if youre ever through this way.

If all goes well im up crail on the 30th.

Been out a few blasts in this recenty 8) Picked up a couple pairs of cheap track tyres so fired them on my spare wheels. The r888 have seen a couple laps too many to be used on the road but the old skool silverstone ftz are sound-ish, chucked them on the front, or until i inevitably get pulled over.

Cheers man! I do like it too, something a bit different. Facelift JDM front.

I rate those NS2R pretty high, i have a pair of them on another pair of alloys. Although i managed to tear through both inner shoulders very quickly, due to camber and dodgey wheel bearings.

So ive recently fitted a DIY short shifter and a set of gear cables with solid bushes. Cant believe the difference!

Had a mate weld up a rocker cover with AN12 fittings, and a pair of braided hoses made up by a local hose company. Probably a bit overkill but there shouldnt be any crankcase pressure issues in future. Just need the inlet blocked up properly.

Ive also taken off my TD04, it was smoking quite badly, its away back to Midland turbo to be checked over as it was rebuilt by them about a year ago.

Ive fitted my VF12 again 8) love this turbo, it is laggy though, i will be able to improve that with a better intercooler setup and an EBC, for now until i get a standalone.

Yesterday i had it up on my ramp in work so carried out an engine oil and filter change, also did the rear diff oil and gearbox oil. Will do the transfer box when i can be bothered.

Went out a blast to see whats what and get a couple pics. Up to Dunblane, back roads to Kinbuck and into Braco, then nailed it along a straight, developed a misfire.. There was nothing obvious at first glance so crawled it home. Will inspect it properly tomorrow.

that oil feed running over the slam panel would bug me lol

Thats the best route for it on my setup. I had one that ran too close and melted before, sprayed oil all over the heatwrap, which set the bay on fire. Which was fun. It cost me an engine. Shaun was behind me at the time. Thats when i had to use a bottle of peach volvic as a fire extinguisher.
