Maybe try to get the rears sorted at the same time. Discs and pads likely not go amiss. scored myself some nice part worn semi slickers. MOT Booked 23rd next week. _______________________________________________________________________________ brakes are being machined slightly more to suit/fit. rx8 injectors bought. insurance sorted. car to be gently base mapped on stock injectors and TPS tomorrow night ready for MOT idle test then car to be transported to Bangor for a once over my friends ramp 4x toyo 888 stuck on the rims, clean underneath, 4 wheel lazer alignment jobbie set headlight height Then boom MOT on the 23rd. then rinse and repeat. lol __________________________________________________________________________ Well tonight the car was given it's first wash in many many months. And tomoro we are atarting to work our way through te many bits that need sorted This is her washed and then in the shed just now. Phil _____________________________________________________________________________ Got the front Intercooler mounted further back. Need to reroute the pipe work now. New headlights there too. Phil ______________________________________________________________________________________ 2x 135degree 63/51 reducers and line the rest up. also need to reroute the civic radiator hoses somewhat and get some hardpipe welded to the bottom outlet to pass the external wastegate which is quite tight. then general tidying - horn is rusted as is power steering pump and battery terminals. very nice build sweet looking car to! nice to be seeing one being built and not getting broke:drive: Thanks glad someone approves Got on a little further today. flakey paint cleaned of cam cover(its silver under there ) race spec rocker, catch can etc fitted (catch can still needs cleaned and buffed up)dirty airbox brackets removed. Washbottle cleaned and seperated from overflow bottle, abs waterbottle cleaned and mounted on right hand side. no pics but mk1 rear lights fitted and almost prepped for MOT, Big Thanks to Willy Howell. some final lathe work at the Pattersons place, centre bore of the big brake setup taken out to 55mm, pads ground alittle! and slider bolts polished up. Massive thanks to George and Ryan for the machine work and brains. Glad willy is taking so much to do with sorting it, really awesome seeing the car slowly come together. The intercooler supports was a bit of magic welding (I can't weld) by Wilbert. With Jay on the parts and adviceWilly on the 'refurbing of everything he touches'Chris on the setup and tuning Really think I'm on to a winner. Phil _____________________________________________________________________________ So.. boost gauge fitted and wired up Rear discs blasted and new pads fitted and new hardpipes from front to back. new GT4 setup on the front old and new disc comparison! Wheels cleaned (but still need refurbed (no funds!!) sexy new (to me) 888 rubber fittedbalanced Mk1 front bumper ready for the car Mk1 rear already complete. Right reversing light is wired as the fog, the left reverse light as still the reversing light. Red Fog achieved with a simple p21w red bulb so the light cluster is still totally stock to the eye. Green Gt badge working perfect (note to self need a pic of that! still loads to sort but getting there. Also did to CV boots on the front of the car today also.
