Amjad
Was watching Fifth gear, and the Corrado VR6 they were testing gained a few good BHP on a Dyno..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nw7Ridm_9Po I've replaced by fuel filter recently, but is Redex worth a go? And more importantly, is it safe? Thanks Amjad
Nanglebadger
been running it in the EP for years, never found it did any harm. Phil.

Starlet__SR
Vpower contains similar if not the same additives, if you're already using it you're not gonna gain much.Day
Amjad
Oh right, didn't realise the Vpower stuff would be as effective? Only thing that puts me off Redex is the fact I'm using the stock fuel pump. Might hold off until I can buy myself a TD fuel pump

Better off spending it on more Vpower lol.Day
rmsnoel
Google it again Ive seen a youtube video where they tested octane boosters and proved they made no difference even the £20 a bottle NOS stuff. Wont do any harm but its dead money. Youve changed the filter so jobs a good un.
Chris Green
The nos stuff melted my fuel lines. I had bought fuel specific fuel lines and it ate through them. Didn't see any gains whatsoever. I actually took a sample from my tank and stuck a new bit of hose with simple in a glass and within 24 hours the hose had turned soft and gooey. Make of that what you will - faulty lines or pure acid?
Amjad
Damn! I think I'll stick to the old "if it ain't broke don't fix it!" lol
steve-gers
Redex isn't octane booster it's just a cleaner for the tank, lines, injectors etc.
