Starletz
Hi, it's not my starlet that's the problem... It's my friends ford fiesta, he bought it spares or repairs with the problem.... Anyway! The rear brakes are drums and the fronts are disks. The rears work fine. I've traced along the brake pipes all the way down to the callipers themselves and I can't find any trace of fluid. when I looked at the reservoir it was slightly below min which made me contemplate a leak. I've since topped it up. When I pump and press the pedal it just sinks and that's that, no resistance. Which is why I am 99% sure it's the master cylinder. What's your thoughts? morgey
Not much else it could be if you can't find a leak
zurgieSR
would say cylinder too, but try bleeding the system first.
jellybaby
Sounds like the diapham inside the master cylinder is fucked or on it way
turbo Grant
The pully the vacum pipe off the servo and stick a cable tie down the bottom see if it's wet when you pull it out. Seen quite a few leaking masters on them.
