Zeldoz
Installed the TD04 last night, still have a 85,000 Km OEM clutch (i presume) It can hold boost in all gears bar 5th. As soon as boost came on it was slipping like a gooden! Couldn't handle the increase of power. Now it was freezing last night, i suspected it was spinning in 5th. But, i highly doubt it as 1-4th and 4th all the way to redline didn't give it an issue. Around 4k RPM in 5th it went mad! What kind of clutch should i be looking at for a TD04 remapped at a 1bar which is the goal for early in the new year. I don't want to spend an absolute fortune... But, If i have too the remap will HAVE to wait! Edited December 18, 2013 by Zeldoz

Zeldoz
Just posted in your build lol, Exedy 3 puk, 300 ish quid new. What are they like town driving? As that's what i do the most.....I only need £550 for a map! Looks like that'll all be on hold!
daniel_g
My 85 isnt on the road yet so i cant be 100% sure how it is the drive in town, but i had a spec 6 puk in my old GT ran it a 1.2 bar and it never slipped. Pedal was very reasonable in town aswell.
Zeldoz
Where's the best place to get one of those from? Never done an uprated clutch in a car before, same old process with replacing an OEM. Gotta drive it sensibly for 500 odd miles to bed it in etc?
daniel_g
I actually got the spec used so duno where you get them, TD rings a bell. Yeah just like changing a normal clutch change. Some decent fluid and a braided clutch line are a must id say aswell ;)

Mike@TD.co.uk
If your clutch has been slipping, your OE flywheel will at least need skimming. Bare that in mind if you plan on fitting inside of a day! Cheers Mike Jones Tuning Developments Ltd

Mike@TD.co.uk
If going for a brand new OE flywheel then yes, that would be fine. If you need a clutch we have those in stock by the way, including flywheels. Cheers Mike Jones Tuning Developments Ltd
