Xpect Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 What exactly is a mapconverter and what does it do? Quote
Jamie5414 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 ive been told if you have the correct wastegate spring for low boost there is no need for a boost controller Quote
Flaminsam Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 You will also need oil filter housing, sump and oil strainer as the sump on a fte is shallower if your going down that route. Or you can get an oil return welded into your original sump. You will need injectors and a fte fuel rail as the n/a fuel pressure reg will send your fuel pressure sky high with boost. You will probably be better off getting a glanza engine loom and ecu to be honest. Many people on here have done the wiring swap. Plenty of people breaking glanzas and plenty of advice around. Quote
Chief Quimby Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Xpect: Work in same way as apexi safc(thing it is calles), it makes the mapsensor look in different range Quote
Chief Quimby Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 you dont need to change fuel rail, just injectors Quote
littlegreenmonster Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 So does anybody have a link to buy a map converter ?? Because then I would know wth it actually is I've heard of it but never ever seen one or know what they do Quote
Xpect Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 So it just puts more fuel in it. Well.... I don't like that. Sounds like "Tuning resistors". Actually I'm surprised that Emanages work. Based on the Statements everywhere I read they get worse the farther you go away from the original Spec of an engine. Quote
Chief Quimby Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 That is why he only recomend to go * 1,5-1,8 up in injector size. And you are right, about very big injectors in emanage Quote
littlegreenmonster Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 I hate to say this but the link is all in German ?? I think, I cantread German lol Quote
Xpect Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Mate, it's danish. As I can speak a very local variant of German called "Plattdeutsch" I can read and understand most of that. But it's not German at all. Quote
