Beastmode panda Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 As ben said, there are no budget coilovers for these cars! Best off to buy some second hand ones. Keep an eye out in the for sale section of the cars breaking section. Quote

Glanza-Ben Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 there not cheap crap imo there great for the money dont slate it untill you tryed it wont find a better bargain !!!!!!Have tried it mate was into the vw scene for years before I got a starlet ;) went threw many cheap golf coilys, not saying it's a good idea I just know the quality of the shock they use Quote
5e colin Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 cheap they are mate so if 1 breaks its only 55£ a corner to replace i can live with that :) they wont be up to the same level as the pro brands for sure !!! but there deffo a 200% increase in handling compared on a starlet with adjustable shocks with lowering springs Quote

big wong97 Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 just wondering how are the D2 coilovers, are they worth getting or should i stick to the BC or Meister R's? Quote
scottieboi94 Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Depends what sort of ride you want, meisters and bcs are good for road use as there soft, d2s and few other coilovers are a lot harder but there definetly good coilovers to buy from what ive heard, depends what you want them for mate Quote
big wong97 Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 was thinking for mainly everyday use and want comfort Quote
rinseep82 Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 (edited) 3rd softest compared to what lol there bloody rock solid to hard for street everyday use IMO Edited May 14, 2014 by rinseep82 Quote
scottieboi94 Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Ye heard they are hard but there 3rd softest apparently compared to Meister (1st) and bc's (2nd) Quote
Ollieh17 Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 I use D2s daily, don't bother me in the slightest really Quote
rinseep82 Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 (edited) Suppose it depends on the car just been reading a thread on civic life and they all say there way too stiff for daily use a few lads on here would say the same all depends I suppose a friend of mine had a civic with d2 on it and they was unbearable even on the softest setting they were way to hardhttp://www.civiclife.net/board/topic/57791-which-coilovers-d2-meister-rs-bc-racing-kw/ Edited May 14, 2014 by rinseep82 Quote
Ollieh17 Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Thats because they own hondas ;) personally i dont find them that bad. tyre profiles etc affect the ride too though i suppose If i was going to buy coilovers new i wouldnt buy d2s though tbf Quote
scottieboi94 Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Whne i say the 3rd softest it don't neccesarily mean there soft lol, i was meister and bcs were soft and d2 and many other were really hard Quote
