Kate
There is a rubber pipe coming from my sump that seems to be leaking. What's this pipe called?
JDMfreak
oil return pipe
TurboTobz
Oil return, make sure your oil feed just above it isn't leaking. It's common for them to rupture due to an aftermarket manifold slightly moving the turbo from original positioning and stressing it. You can't see it cracked often but will drip slowly when engines running.
Kate
Hmm I'll take a pic. I think the return it after market. Have a look....
Kate
So it's the black rubber one I think is leaking... Is the oil return the stainless steel pipe? I've just ordered another one but dunno what one it is now?
Kate
I've also just noticed the radiator is leaking.... See that plug thing?? Where would I get that? The rad is less than a year old, do I go back to japspeed?
daniel_g
The oil return is what looks like is leaking, you already have a braided oil feed so thats all good There should be a rubber grommet on the radiator drain plug, check its not perished and obviously check its tight aswell. daniel_g
Also looks like the front crank seal is leaking, very common on these engines.
Kate
So I have these to fit.... These both of those pipes?
Kate
And where is it leaking? Crank seal? Aghhhhh!! Lol x
daniel_g
Thats a braided oil feed youve bought which you already have !! You'll be able to sell it on though no worries Its an oil return you're looking for, a silicone one is best. And yeah just under the timing belt its got a bit oily leak there

Jay85
What's the internal diameter of that pipe? I may have a bit of silicone laying about!! Edited April 3, 2014 by Jay85
TurboTobz
The plug on the rad will probably be a shot oring, local motor factors or maybe even a good diy store should help for about 10p lol.
