SakGlanzaV
hi guys here is the set up of my standard glanzaI have had a gt turbo engine swapI am running a standard ct9 turbostock ecumanual boost controllerfuel pressure regulator I have recently purchased this, it seems a little wierd and I am confused as to why someone has put a FPR on a standard glanzamy problem is that at full foot in third gear the boost shown on the gauge does not exceed 0.5 bar. I'm not too sure but perhaps it might be something to do with the FPR? any help is appreciated thanks guys
1990timeismoney
Is it a standard actuator.
akyakapotter
Id say its set to that boost with the mbc
Ollieh17
Id say an adjustable actuator. Cant set boost below the actuator level with a mbc? Not sure how that would work on a standard actuator though with the hi-lo boost
mikey4410
actuator is weak mate.if its stock then thatll be it
SakGlanzaV
Thanks for the response guys ok I will get some photos of the actuator up tommorw. I''m pretty sure it's a standard one. Also if The FPR is causing the problem how do I remove it
SakGlanzaV
Also I have turned the mbc up my 5 whole clicks it still won't exceed 0.5 bar
SakGlanzaV
hi guys it looks like the actuator is a standard one? and I also whacked off the glove box to see if I was running a FCD which it doesn't look like I am ANY IDEAS PEOPLE?
Aamir
You have a standard actuator. You will need an adjustable actuator to increase the boost. Aamir
Ollieh17
Standard boost is 0.65 bar? And with a mbc you can increase the boost on standard actuator

Ollieh17
Do you still have the hi-lo boost working?
SakGlanzaV
Do you still have the hi-lo boost working? no mate it has been bypass
Ollieh17
Have you checked for any boost leaks?
SakGlanzaV
Have you checked for any boost leaks? yes mate I have had a look at the intercooler piping it seems fine. Also may I mention the car is running very rich and you can smell strong fuel fumes at high revs and at engine start
1990timeismoney
Has it got a fcd on it and have you tried looping the actuator straight to the turbo to see if it's pulling any better boost others will be able to confirm if this will work Is the fuel pressure set to standard 2.

TrisK
I reckon the spring/diaphragm in the actuator is knackered
mikey4410
with a rrfpr thats worth adjusting is how. unless thats a turbo smart one in the picture above u really need to get a decent one regardless of wether it works ok. the quality of those is shocking and it will destroy ure motor if it starts to fail which is likely. i still think ure actuator is fooked.yes they are 0.65 standard but your talking about a spring that is potentially 18 years old plus. mikey4410
do ureslef a favour and get a genuine sard rrfpr for a start.superb bit of kit and only £80 buy a hks actuator as they are load adjustable (progressive spring inside) and u can load this up accordingly. SakGlanzaV
I have moved the actuator rod left and right and the spring seems to work fine

5e colin
pul of the 2nd pipe from actuater and leave the 1 on from actuater to turbo she should be boosting 11/12psi or 0.8bar ab out your question on how to adjust the rrfpr the nut ontop loosen it a bit then you can screw in the bolt of it that adjust the fp !!!!! 2.4 is good for 12 psi stock
