i bought this Paseo ST last night, after the owner bought a new car, he started hating it and beating it... so i bought it off him for £100 and set to work this morning

Taking delivery, it was finally on my drive

if i can get door handles im away with the fairies, but, do starlet din blanking plates fit in a paseo, the big black square that has toyota in the bottom right hand corner?

anyhow, i spent 7 hours cleaning it up yesterday, incl taking seats out, interior panels out and pushing the dents out and taking the bumper off and cleaning behind that *AND BREATHE*

but today..., i put it back together...

rear panels in

72_DSC00520_1.jpg

currently my boot release, if i put my finger through the hole, and press on the metal rod, the boot opens. to be truly honest i'd rather put my finger in other little red holes but im not the one to be fussy.. (LOL)

72_DSC00522_1.jpg

rear seats sat in my kitchen for a hoover over. oh, and my helper for all of 5 minutes

72_DSC00523_1.jpg

72_DSC00525_1.jpg

72_DSC00526_1.jpg

passenger seat taken out to hoover all the tabbaco strands out of the little grooves, i cleaned the floor panels too

72_DSC00527_1.jpg

72_DSC00528_1.jpg

seat back in, center console fitted again, and i placed the floor matts back on the red floor panel, just to make it look a bit tidier, although they need a damn good clean/brush down.

72_DSC00529_1.jpg

sterio surround fitted in again, makes it look a bit better

72_DSC00531_1.jpg

still need a gear stick leather

72_DSC00532_1.jpg

looks tidier

72_DSC00535_1.jpg

and i need them thingies too, need to find both sides

72_DSC00536_1.jpg

went up in the loft and got the sunroof cover down, this was off of my old red paseo that i ripped to peaces :)

72_DSC00539_2.jpg

TODAYS WORK...

i hired a helper

241_DSC00555_1.jpg

but he was incapable of sitting still, untill he got wedged between the window and shelf.

241_DSC00562_1.jpg

off came the stefio fascia, and same for the center console

241_DSC00558_1.jpg

i made a small bit of card into a bit of plastic (well, actually its just a substitute)

241_DSC00566_1.jpg

covered it with some subcarpet

241_DSC00569_1.jpg

and put it in, its on a bit of a slant but i will re-line it at a later date

241_DSC00570_1.jpg

241_DSC00571_1.jpg

all my hard work of putting it together was ruined...

241_DSC00574_1.jpg

i made a substitute sterio din blanking plate also, of which also was made of card and sub carpet.

241_DSC00575_1.jpg

i think it looks quite nice and its a bit of a money saver too

241_DSC00579_1.jpg

and then i searched my shed and found a gear gaitor, but i hate the grey so i made yet another thing out of sub carpet :) but my sewing skills are crap so i might get my nan to tidy it up a bit

241_DSC00586_1.jpg

i will get a day picture of that tomorrow

JWK is getting there to say the least

well, another day, another update.

i found the spare bootlid from the garden, and took the bootlock off of it. seings as the previous owners (of the bootlid) badge fell off, it was just left with the lock, so he painted it and stuck a little badge on so...

72_DSC00605_1.jpg

i smoothed it over with some filler and painted it again

72_DSC00612_1.jpg

then stuck his little badge on again, so his little dragon lives on :)

72_DSC00623_1.jpg

just a nice night shot for you all :p

72_DSC00619_1.jpg

little dragon from far away lol

72_DSC00624_1.jpg

this is the rubbish gear gator i made :D

72_DSC00621_1.jpg

my boot filled with parts, carpet, tools and paints

72_DSC00625_1.jpg

test fit of my side skirts, the other side needs alot of work and this side needs a bit of work and a respray

72_DSC00626_1.jpg

72_DSC00628_1.jpg

test fit of my front lip, well, the half i have, i need to do either work myself to make the other side, or get someone to make a mould of the galliano's front lip

have been speaking to a guy whos gonna give me a helping hand with the lips so its all go at the mo!

well, yet again, as soon as i got home from school i set to work.

took the bumper off, did a bit of tidying up, cleaning etc, and polished the lights to get the yellow gunk off of them, and then bolted them in properly and plugged them in again, heres a few process pics

72_DSC00643_1.jpg

72_DSC00644_1.jpg

72_DSC00645_1.jpg

72_DSC00646_1.jpg

i lost the screw for the numberplate :S

72_DSC00648_1.jpg

then i took the rear shelf out and done some re-covering

72_DSC00649_1.jpg

72_DSC00650_1.jpg

also covered the bottom of the brake light surround, just to make it look 'non' shiney as it goes, and also made two little covers for the boot hinges out of card and the sub carpet, but its cheaper than finding a set :)

i will get a pic of it fitted tomorrow when i get home
