Lukee Posted December 14, 2014 Author Share Posted December 14, 2014 Looking good matey love a mk1 thanks mate! work in progress , cleanish shell though! nice to hear its finally running with only a few hic-ups, Maybe better to remove the turbo timer ? thanks mate, me too im so glad! my brothers got a spare hks turbo timer so we will swap as they are the same model , then we can trace the wiring and do it properly ya i say remove the turbo timer kinda pointless things really yes handy for cooling the turbo but were hardly ragging the turbo the whole time even cruising in a housing estate and parking up is cooling it and most alarms wont set if the engines still running unless u wire alarm with the timer hope you have better luck in the new year with her as above dude, i live in an area with heavy traffic at the times i normally drive so just for peace of mind, better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it ! ;) thanks buddy! im sure my luck will change soon! sourced some more parts including a greddy emanage blue and mk 1 interior! only needed front and rear seats as i have mk3 in for some reason (door cards are still the zebra mk1) but may aswell take the joblot for only £60 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Lukee Posted December 24, 2014 Author Share Posted December 24, 2014 so bit of a twist to christmas eve... i went on a sunny drive in the forest with my friend and his R32.. best christmas eve ever!!oh and.. i took the rear seats out as the previous owner decided to remove the seatbelts for some reason.. so i took this as more of a reason to strip it however not as much as my previous car as it looks much neater. i also bolted the carpet down im sure i will update you again tomorrow as all i have asked for is christmas parts lol! Lukee Posted December 28, 2014 Author Share Posted December 28, 2014 Couldnt find anywhere to put the dress up kit so i put them on front and rear plates , infact still have a full pack left lol Passenger window wouldnt work so i got a whole new system... the old one wasnt even connected and had wires everywhere.decided i would treat the rust while it hadnt done any damage as my brother had the same issue and resulted in getting a new boot. its not the best but IT WILL DO for nowyou dont always need the best cleaning products! i got this from 99p turtle wax and hard graft! however i did give it a full auto glym polish after this photo lol i have ordered front tow strap, rear tow hook + some LED bulbs and a replacement HID bulb.may need some wishbone bushes as car is all over the place on breaking + accelerating and then ill get tracking sorted.
